I like how even Grok is like "Yeah this is likely a bot farm engaging with these posts as they are not organic". I think @XCareersJP needs local boots on the ground to fight this. The timeline outside of Japan seems to be getting better and less hateful, but the timeline inside Japan is going the wrong direction for everyone I talk to about it.

200,000 bot X accounts were banned two days ago. Since then I haven't seen a single Japanese Nettoyou racist nationalist post go viral to the levels they were getting last week. One of my greatest fears for X is that is becomes the platform that amplifies hate and breeds a culture of sociopaths. There needs to be more reviews on posts that have unnatural like/comment (particularly by Premium vs. non premium accounts)/retweet ratios. People say "most Nationalists in Japan are just lurkers" which explains the unnatural ratios. I call BS. Anyone in crypto knows that the only thing that ever explains that is paid/fake engagement, not cultural differences.

Honestly a win was needed for the NFT community to bring in fresh energy and enthusiasm. I honestly think a lot of us from class of 2021 bring down the vibes here with hopelessness and putting too much emphasis on the good old days, myself included. Stonkbrokers reign has already lasted longer than 99.9% of memes so regardless of what you think of what they’ve created, it’s way more substantive than most and has succeeded and bringing much needed excitement back to NFTs.

Watching JPY stumble has actually made me a renewed bull in bitcoin. Dollar milkshake theory has an interesting conundrum, in that dollar strength shakes a global economy and the currency of its allies becomes a national security issue. US doesn’t save the yen? China might. Ultimately fiat currencies are very delicate and as the veil gets lifted for many, bitcoin can capitalize on the narrative. But I’ll probably still be Eth denominated, because my ex was a dominatrix and I like pain like that, I guess. NFA

600 resident foreigner inmates in Japanese prisons (3000 total foreigners) 50,000 children with at least 1 Muslim parent (or less) of school age 40,000 business manager visa holders But if you go on X posts of kicking out rich Chinese, the 25% foreigner rate in prisons and crime, and making sure Muslim children can’t have halal lunches in Japan get more upvotes than there are people of those groups. For a country that scores top 5 in math, rhetoric seems to be suspiciously absent of statistical facts.

I want to move back to Korea and join a KOSPI rekt trader support group where we huddle in a room and talk about our peak net worth for 37 seconds and didn’t take profit because Seoul real estate prices are too expensive anyway. Would be good language practice I reckon. 😂

Japan seems to have a new economic plan and to be honest it’s probably the only one that works. Drive the yen to zero, become an export economy so the young people who haven’t left can support the pension flywheel. Invest abroad to cover their large pension obligations that will only get larger, and ensure all foreigners are only temporary contributors to the pension funds. Japan has one of the strongest passports but is by far the least used in the top 20 (only 17%). So just lean into that. GDP per capita continues to go down as the productivity of the citizenry goes down as they age. So only the upper middle class who really want to can afford to travel internationally anyway, but Japan has enough domestically to see so this isn’t a problem. If they produce most of the bare necessities locally (expect to see government sponsored ads luring young people to become farmers, because their productivity as a Tokyo salaryman is about to be irrelevant with the rising cost of food imports), and their electric car usage rates increase, then the weak yen can be simply managed at a national level with subsidized imports without too many negative externalities (except poorer citizens on a global basis). The BoJ has only 2% foreign assets currently, which they would probably like to grow if they weren’t stuck defending a doomed yen in the name of stability. Any societal rifts created by this strategy can simply be blamed on the rising number of foreigners and the citizens can be distracted with news stories of random Romanian tourists listening to their music too loud on the ski lift. What’d I miss?

💡 idea: Allow foreigners who want to farm in Japan have a visa. Reason: rice prices doubled, food import reliance, all old farmers dying. Western country corporate drones are tired of the disconnect between work and results. Create a new frontier. Provide classes. Easy.

In hindsight, royalties were a tragedy of the commons problem waiting to happen. Although it was a huge tax on traders, it allowed projects to build with some degree of predictable revenue and regularly release updates and profit from the hype cycle. Opting out killed NFTs.

Ok but shorting it a second time at 1950 is crazy right? Surely I’ll get liquidated this time? 😂 I miss the days when Eth moved so wildly in both directions and not just down. Exciting times those were. Give me a fokin 1960 -> 2080 candle like come on

Shorting ETH at 1950 has been a pretty easy play the last week or so but… Today I’m not sure I’m brave enough to. Which means… I should? Oof help

Accumulators of ETH are taking advantage of the BTC resistance here. Eth has never stalled out in the 1900 range. Unless BTC nukes, Eth will likely outperform until the resistance falls. Slowly but surely. Once 67.5k falls Eth floats above 2k.

ELI5, why do the democrats want ethics clauses in the clarity act when no one seems to care about how hard congress is outperforming Wall Street in the stock market. In theory they are probably fine, but sounds like an excuse to stall to me when ethics should be baked into their behavior regardless of the asset class. Separate bill.

The top projects in the NFT space need a Hype coordination manager. Space your releases, have easter eggs for each other's projects, support each other, and win together. With 3000 active buyers/sellers this last month tribalism ain't it. Whatever cartoon animal PFPs are left, that IS the tribe. Full stop.

Imagine if Nikita didn’t tell us there was an algo change. We all definitely would have been psyopped into thinking everyone just came back and the party was just getting started lol

“Wow look at how many shorts are opening, maybe they know something”. Not yet, but they’re gonna know what it feels like to be liquidated here in a bit 😘

On the one hand I love seeing my NFT friends on here again. On the other hand I'm gonna miss using math to dunk on Japanese hardcore nationalists. I hope they find this post and tell me to I'm a dirty foreigner who should return to his country. I'm going to miss them 🥲

Sorry Hedgefunds. ETH isn't going to be your short leg this cycle. Find some other way to hedge your Bitcoin longs, dorks.
