Ubisoft seems to be going all-in on generative AI.
According to Tom Henderson, Ubisoft’s “Motherbrain” AI initiative is being designed as a global system that could eventually be used across as many Ubisoft games as possible.
The goal is to use generative AI to “accelerate gameplay innovation” and help Ubisoft’s teams experiment with new ways of building games.
The project will be led by Xavier Manzanares, a 23-year Ubisoft veteran and former lead producer of Mario + Rabbids. He recently moved into Ubisoft’s R&D division to lead its generative AI efforts.
