I always vote on the first day. Today is the first day of voting so I went to the Wainuiomata advance voting place at the hall. It is closed. A disgrace. Along with early roll closing it is looking like the voter suppression you expect from Trump or Hungary not here in Aotearoa.

Regardless of political party support or affiliation, I think we can all agree that any government that passes a law to make it harder to enrol and vote is a bad govt.
He fails to mention that for 40 years, New Zealanders have been able to enrol right up until midnight before election day. The last two elections we could even enrol on election day. It’s a massive backwards step that many people won’t know about until they try vote.

Hard to believe anyone would vote for this patronising, bloviating fool once, but the polls are claiming there's people planning to do it a *second* time?!
this young interviewer completely embarrasses christopher luxon, who tries to say the kid doesn't know the details of the move-on bill, only for the kid to come back and grill him on the details, while luxon just stammers and deflects. clip via voteotago on instagram

So I talked to Piers Morgan for the first time. Turns out he has *very* strong opinions about a book he has not opened let alone read. Also, Peter Thiel was nice to him, ergo... youtube.com/watch?v=SMFQBQx-…

I spent this morning at Avondale Markets enrolling people to vote. Unlike previous elections there were no Elections staff present to take enrolments. And they have not been present at any previous market this year. This cannot be accidental. #NZPolitics

We already know Luxon was told November 7 was "challenging" and a "Unversity exam day" and cutting off enrolment 13 days early would hurt their ability to vote. #NZPOL

A typical petrol car doing 250km/week uses about $70 of fuel. If you charge an EV at home, even after road user charges that’s ~$2000 a year back in your pocket. More than a supermarket restructure or tax cut? Remind me, who canned the clean car discount? newsroom.co.nz/2026/10/22/th…

It's not the hypocrisy that matters, it's the insincerity If National are sincere, Luxo will sack Potaka this weekend If not, Luxo will just continue making excuses for why it's different Picture emerges of National minister posing with gang members stuff.co.nz/politics/3610506…

Incredibly dumb letter. 185 countries have less than 1% of world’s emissions, totalling 33%. China has 30% .

Aotearoa is in the grip of a fuel crisis created by billionaire Donald Trump supported financially into power by at least 1 billionaire, Elon Musk, preying on the fears of vast swathes of humanity, underwritten by the technology of other billionaires stuff.co.nz/nz-news/36105036…

I take it the media pushed back asking about the pedophile from the ACT Party that Seymour helped to shield from voters in the lead up to the last election, right? RIGHT?
