Playstation fans are going to HATE this clip. Moore’s Law Is Dead did NOT hold back, and I think a lot of what he said needed to be said. “Playstation has systematically killed many of the things that would have made you a fan before.” “The people left defending Playstation right now were never fans of Playstation.” “People who root for a brand… you’re just a fanboy, a Sony pony.” And this might be the hardest line: “An authentic fan [is a fan] because you like the things they do. They’re not doing those things anymore.” That’s the point. Being a Playstation fan shouldn’t mean blindly defending every decision Sony makes. If the people who supposedly love this brand keep rewarding Sony while the things that made Playstation special disappear, that “loyalty” could help diminish Playstation forever.
