That face when you make a spreadsheet to organize a list of all the maps in your portfolio and discover that you forgot to put the map you made for freaking MAGE ERRANT in it omfg. (along with like at least 150 other commissions...)

Must've been pretty early on in my water spilling out into the sea phase too, come to think, although I believe Kethos was the first map I did that on... ugh, if I could redo Ithos today, those mountains would be on the chopping block though. I don't love my early ridgeline work.

Ithos ended up being a game changer in how I handled hill/desert terrain. It might not look like much compared to some of the other cool things on it, but it was the first time I handled desert that way. You'll see this kind of rolling hill treatment in a lot of my later work.

You know, it's only this map, which redefined how I did hills and desert ever after. The only print I've ever sold to random people (granted mostly this is because I don't have prints available for the most part).

Look at this COASTLINE MAGIC Josh has made for those of you who use Photoshop for your cartography! BEHOLD IT. This would have saved me so many hours back when I used to used Adobe. Is it tempting to go back to try this? Maybe.
