Here’s a curious “meta”moment. Just got off a plane. On the seat back in the row in front of me the movie Up in the Air was playing, from my novel about a lonesome frequent flyer. It’s the first time I’ve ever glimpsed it in the setting which inspired it. An odd sensation.
