OL MORAN, LAIKIPIA WEST CONSTITUENCY, LAIKIPIA COUNTY, KENYA MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2026 Inspected the newly constructed Mahiga- Ol Moran road, requested by residents and leaders when the President last visited Laikipia on 8 May, 2026. This road is part of the 557 kilometers of road prioritized for tarmacking within Laikipia County at a cost of 28 billion shillings. Directed Kenya Rural Roads Agency to tighten supervision and ensure an expedited construction of the 58 kilometer Nanyuki- Dol Dol - Naibor Road and the 30 kilometer Rumuruti - Mutara road both whose contracts were awarded two months ago.

OL MORAN, LAIKIPIA WEST CONSTITUENCY, LAIKIPIA COUNTY, KENYA MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2026 I commend Kenya’s security agencies for winning the war on banditry in Laikipia West. No attacks have occurred in the last three years, thanks to the special forces of the police and military supported by police reservists and civilian informants. Laikipia West is one of the areas where bandit networks have been completely crushed, and residents are back to farms and businesses. The Government has been rebuilding previously abandoned schools and strengthening permanent security presence and improving infrastructure. Pleased to commission the Kirima Police Division Headquarters and the Ol Moran Police Station, built at a cost of 21 million shillings.

OL MORAN, LAIKIPIA WEST CONSTITUENCY, LAIKIPIA COUNTY, KENYA MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2026 Addressed residents of Ol Moran, Laikipia West Constituency, Thanked security personnel for pacifying the area and defeating the bandits who had caused terrible damage to the social economic fabric of the area. 20 schools in Laikipia West and North that had been destroyed by bandits or abandoned for years due to banditry have been reconstructed under the supervision of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) military personnel , and another 10 will be rebuilt. The Government has substantially subsidized the price of fertilizer, certified seeds and sexed semen to enhance incomes from crop and livestock production . 557 kilometers of roads have been earmarked for tarmacking within Laikipia County at a cost of 28 billion shillings. The investment on road construction will be increased for purposes of equity, under our Usawa ni Sawa Initiative. Last mile electricity supply projects are ongoing across Laikipia County, to connect an additional 4,200 households with electricity at a cost of 470 million shillings. This allocation and number of beneficiaries will be increased twofold, as part of affirmative action for Laikipia. Laikipia will be prioritised for funding of crucial water projects under the newly established National Infrastructure Fund (NIF). Usawa ni Sawa.

MUREO MBURAGA, THARAKA CONSTITUENCY, THARAKA NITHI COUNTY SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2026 The Government will expand and tarmack afresh the dilapidated 40 kilometer Chiakariga- Marimanti- Gatunga Road, on a new contract of 1.2 billion shillings. Early works on the worst sections of the road have commenced, including building a new Thingithu Bridge to forestall further risks on motorists and travellers. 515 kilometres of roads have been prioritized for tarmacking at a cost of 35 billion shillings. Inspected ongoing early works, directed roads authorities to ensure quality works, timely completion and prioritization of local youths for job opportunities.

MARIMANTI, THARAKA CONSTITUENCY, THARAKA NITHI COUNTY, KENYA SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2026 Launched construction of the 24 kilometer Marimanti- Kibung’a- Makandune- Mukuuni/ Gacibi road that connects Tharaka and Imenti Central Constituencies. Directed relevant authorities to ensure construction is done from both the Marimanti and Mukuuni sides to ensure equity and better management of the project. The Government has released 6 billion shillings for tarmacking an additional 90 kilometres roads in Tharaka Constituency.

MARIMANTI, THARAKA CONSTITUENCY, THARAKA NITHI COUNTY, KENYA SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2026 Tharaka area has been one of the historically marginalized parts of Kenya. This adminstration is correcting the historical wrongs not just here but in all areas of Kenya excluded through discriminatory development practices of the past. Electricity connectivity in Tharaka was a paltry 11% in September 2022. Today the number has climbed to 40%, with 34,000 households connected during the last four years. In the next one year, we will take the electricity connectivity to 75% of the households, and to 100% two years from now. The Government has allocated 685 million shillings to step up electrification of an additional 6,000 households and public institutions in Tharaka Constituency. Flagged off electric power connection materials valued at 54 million shillings to connect an addittional 388 households with electricity. Directed the State Department for Energy to prioritize the construction of the 350 million shillings Kajuki power substation which will stabilise and steady power supply in the entire Tharaka Nithi County. Joined by Tharaka Nithi Woman Representative Susan Ngugi, MPs Gitonga Murugara (Tharaka) and Patrick Munene (Chuka Igamba ngombe) , MCAs, professionals and grassroots leaders.
