At Downing Street today, I supported the National Fostering Campaign. At 14, Maggie gave me a home, steady support and belief in my future. Small acts of care can help a child feel safe and belong.

Turning 18 should open doors, not leave a young person to face adulthood alone.
On ITV’s This Morning with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, I spoke about the pathways and support young people leaving care need to build independent,
sustainable lives.
Around 10,000 young people aged 16 to 18 leave care each year in England. They may be expected to find work, pay rent, manage bills and plan their future without the preparation, financial awareness and steady support they need.
