Randy Orton. At SummerSlam, Randy didn’t just cost me a championship. He reopened something I thought we had buried at WrestleMania and I wanted an explanation. Not because I needed one. But because after everything we’ve been through, I thought I was owed one. He disagreed.

He told me that I asked for the very best version of Randy Orton. I did. I asked for the best Randy Orton because I respected him enough to believe that if I was going to beat him, I needed to beat the man that everybody warned me about. The Randy that made legends disappear.

But Randy… You didn’t even let the match with Sami begin. You wanted my attention so badly that you were willing to tear through everything in your path to get it and you got it. Congratulations, you have it, but you also showed me something.

You keep telling the world you’re going to be the man who ends my story. But Randy, I don’t think you understand what you’ve actually done. You didn’t end my story. You changed the genre. Because for a long time, I tried to be respectful and remember the history.
