Utterly repulsive speech by Suella Braverman referring to a "hurricane" of migration, as her dehumanising rhetoric plumbs new depths. The hurricane I'd like to see is one which sweeps her culture war-stoking, dog-whistling, hard-right party from office. #CPC23
Kinda feel bad knowing she’s not got much choice in having to spout(/defend) her party’s shit dribble, but JFC the state of this
And just when you think the Tories can’t sink any lower…
Sorry what

Everyone involved in looking after him failed in their duty of care and need a formal bollocking
Appalling from team, medical and race orgs
Should Stefan Küng have been allowed to continue like this in the European Time Trial Championships?
The Swiss rider crashed hard, keeping his head down for aero rather than looking ahead. He then remounted and finished before being checked for concussion.

I think we need a healthy debate about what’s next for the Dance Music scene, particularly in Europe. (A thread 1/10)

Interesting tidbit so far: “you need to go to London to talk to investors” 🏴 – at Glasgow, Scotland
Big thanks to the panellists for an interesting chat (and engaging Q&A) and giving up time to tour the 🏴 ecosystem. Clearly lots still to do if we’re asking questions like “is paying for intros ok” (it’s not) 😬
S/o @tech_scaler for organising – at Glasgow, Scotland

So @TimSmedley wrote a (terrifying) book about our global water crisis... and penned this must-read summary. And it's not only ghana or Jordan, it's the 🇺🇸 West Coast, and closer to home 🇬🇧 medium.com/the-new-climate/i… h/t @nay_akh

"No way to create a backdoor that only the good guys can walk through."
Signal President Meredith Whittaker says the Online Safety Bill will cause "unprecedented paradigm-shifting surveillance" - in a discussion with @cathynewman and former UK Tech minister Damian Collins.
Proper sad to read the news of @unearthedsounds’s closure. Mat and the team have done @FKOF_Records (and most other small-scale imprints in 140/beyond) brilliantly over our last few years of pressing records. They’ll be missed 💔
First time riding @WRClassic’s Challenge(/ medium) route 🚲 - windy, hilly, windy, soggy, windy and a bit of 🌞 over the 85 miles & 8k+ of elevation ⛰️
