A little late to my own party here, but this is the video I've worked on for the past 6 months. All the stunts you see in this were captured in-game with an insane amount of dedication to pulling them off. 😂 Link: youtu.be/2WTdRbtgesA #StarCitizen @RobertsSpaceInd

THAT'S MY GOAT. Ennie will be humble about it, but she's insanely good at FPS games. Whether they're arcade-style hero shooters, or more in-depth like Tarkov or Arma. She also stays very grounded in her insights that can relate to players of all skill levels. Definitely give this a watch if you're looking for an in-depth take on Squadron 42's FPS experience.
If there ever was a time you'd be interested in an opinion on @squadron_42's FPS combat, I've made a 27 minute video JUST FOR YOU! It took a while, but I'm pretty happy where it ended up. Feel free to ask questions, link below :)

The funniest thing about this experience was the excitement everyone had seeing Mark Hamill walk in, but also at the same time you could sense everyone was eager to get back to playing.😂 But seriously - what an amazing time.
Last week we hosted our first hands-on event for Squadron 42. This is just a glimpse of what made the weekend so special. Full video soon. 👀

Some details about SQ42 stuff I personally discovered for the creatives/virtual photographers: Photo Mode. Very similar to photo modes you see in a lot of single player games these days. - On screen controls/sliders. Focal length, aperture, and focus distance (there is autofocus as well), etc - camera works like free cam (not stuck to orbiting character/ship). Camera controls as you’d expect. Forward/back/left/right. You can hold right mouse button to free look. Q & E to roll (which is something we don’t have without using head tracking in SC right now) There did not seem to be any boundaries to how far away I could move the camera, although I didn’t spend too much time trying to push extremes. - exposure slider, but no white balance/tint/contrast (let’s be real tho - most of us like doing this stuff in post anyways and capturing the in game ‘clean’) - accessed through the pause screen, photo mode freezes time - easy to get action shots. I did see an option to unfreeze time as well if desired. I assume this will let you capture video as well combined with the hide HUD key. - while this photo mode exists, our familiar f4 cinematic camera/third person camera remains untouched as well if you prefer using that instead.
Can anyone confirm for Squadron 42 photo mode? 😍

Incredibly fortunate to meet people in the SC community who graciously invited me to visit Bulkhead Studios. Thank you to @Jese_PowerGPU and @Morphologis for bringing me along! And a big thanks @Brammflakes for showing us all the hard work that goes into their game.

Based on what I experienced and have seen this weekend, I’d argue this trailer is holding back a little on the epic moments. But I can appreciate that from the perspective of not spoiling things.

My early thoughts of SQ42 (I’ll share more later): It has the sauce. I had fun. I was immersed. I didn’t want the playtest to end. Yes, I tried the photo mode. The photo people will love it. All the functionality you’d want. From the details to the grand scheme of things, there’s a lot to be excited about. Minimal bugs and jank, but fundamentally nothing a little extra polish time can’t address. #StarCitizen #Squadron42 @RobertsSpaceInd

Good morning, Dublin. Next stop: Manchester for the SQ42 event. Plane nerd sidenote: this airframe must have like less than 100 hours on it. Those rivets are CLEAN.

When your passengers trust you, but still have hilarious reactions. Totally on me for not seeing the enemy team there, but I got my passengers out of a bad situation (twice - wait until the end) 😂 #wardogs @WARDOGS

I love getting chased by attack choppers and pulling them down low with me.😂 @KhiosaYT with the on-point commentary as usual. @WARDOGS

Huge shoutout to @WARDOGS for referring to it as “damping” and not “dampening.” Absolute real ones.

Shiv owners too busy being hoonigans today to log in to vote or something. #StarCitizen #ShipShowdown

[🔊 SOUND ON ] Multi-frame match cuts being lined up while the camera is moving definitely took a few months of planning, experimenting, and execution to pull off. A tribute to "Gymkhana." Check out the full "SHIPKHANA" video (link in comments). #StarCitizen @RobertsSpaceInd

New Video Release (link in comments). Consider this a tribute/homage to the "Gymkhana" series and the car culture I grew up on. The Shiv is known for its capabilities as a heavy fighter, but this thing has some hidden talents outside of combat. #StarCitizen @RobertsSpaceInd
