On May 6th and May 7th 2021, FASTWATER held its 3rd General Assembly meeting: - The MD 97 engine is running on mehtanol live in action - The retrofit-kit development shows very promising results - The technical design of the pilot boat and the tug are finalised Stay tuned.

The FASTWATER Project Deliverable 7.4, “Public report on knowledge concerning safety and regulations relevant to methanol fuel” provides a summary of existing rules, regulations, and relevant guidelines and is availble for download: fastwater.eu/news.html

Project partner @ScandiNAOS AB demonstrates diesel engine performance on their #methanol engine with high fuel efficiency that meets IMO Tier III emission limit without the need of an aftertreatment system. Photo shows test runs on #SÖDRA Renewable Liquid Forest™ Biomethanol.
