At the beginning of 2026, India started moving towards semiconductor and chip manufacturing. Ashwini Vaishnaw also gave presentations and talked about India’s semiconductor capabilities and how chips would start being produced in India.
But my question is:
From around the same period, mobile phone prices in the Indian market started increasing.
If India is moving towards domestic semiconductor and chip manufacturing, logically, shouldn’t this eventually help reduce the cost of electronics and mobile phones?
Then why are mobile phones becoming more expensive?
I still don’t understand the actual reason behind this price hike.
Is the increase because of semiconductor prices, memory/RAM and storage costs, AI-driven global chip demand, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, taxes, or something else?
And if the chips are now being manufactured in India, why is the benefit not reaching the Indian consumer?
There seems to be a gap between the semiconductor-manufacturing story and what an ordinary Indian consumer is actually experiencing in the mobile market.
I want to understand the real reason behind this.

I would like to ask Western Railway: why are the toilets in MEMU trains not usable because of extremely poor cleanliness and hygiene?
Passengers are paying for the railway service, but basic cleanliness inside the train should not be a luxury.
Kindly look into this issue and take necessary action to ensure that the toilets are properly cleaned and maintained.
I have photos showing the actual condition. If this issue is not addressed, should I post all the photos publicly so that passengers can see the ground reality?
Please resolve the issue rather than allowing passengers to suffer.

I request all media channels and reporters to go and visit rural schools.
If schools are in bad condition, expose the officials and authorities responsible. Talk to students and teachers. Ask them about their problems, difficulties and what they actually need.
Right now, political parties are trying to make this a political issue.
Schools must be improved, no doubt, but not in the name of political drama. Once it becomes a party vs party fight, the real issue gets buried. After the votes are given, many of these people will simply disappear.
All media channels should send reporters to examine schools across the country. Only media can do it.
Make it a genuine big issue. Not a political agenda.

Today’s incident involving the CJP team and Ashutosh Rana, reportedly carried out by BJP workers in connection with the “School Sudharo Abhiyan”, is highly condemnable.
According to information received from sources, the condition of the school in that village is extremely poor. It is being reported that children were even studying in a place resembling a cattle shed. If this is true, the focus should be on fixing the school and providing children with basic educational facilities not on intimidating or attacking those who are raising these issues.
What is even more concerning is that BJP leaders/workers are reportedly defending those accused instead of addressing the actual condition of the school.
Political affiliation cannot put anyone above the law. The Rajasthan Government should conduct a fair and impartial investigation and take immediate legal action against anyone found responsible.
There is no place for violence, intimidation, or hooliganism in a democracy. Questioning the condition of schools and demanding better education for children is not a crime it is their right.@AbhijeetDipike @RahulGandhi
