It's a far more complicated question than most realize. Our human bodies are merely the avatars our consciousnesses happen to be driving atm on the physical plane. We are not our bodies. "We" are holding the controller. Our bodies are the virtual machines. This applies to AI too.

If French protests are so effective why are they still stuck with neoliberalism? Why is their country still loyal to Israel and NATO? Why is the French ruling class completely unresponsive to French protester demands?
You guys realize that this is like the 100th time in the last 10 years that France has erupted in protests over neoliberalism right? Americans tend to romanticize these protests but what have they accomplished? French protesters engage in revolutionary adventurism but don’t have a follow up on how to change the system in a meaningful way. So we repeat the same cycle over and over
This is not a diss on the French protesters at all because they are just reacting to their material conditions, which is normal. But at what point do we begin having the conversation that western liberal democracy as a whole completely failed and no amount of “protests” will fix it. Protests without further revolutionary action of building real dual power seems to amount to nothing in the west

Tonight, we received confirmation that a suspicious letter was intercepted en route to our office in Detroit. Everyone is safe, and the matter is being investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the FBI.
This follows a string of similar letters, many containing unknown powdery substances, being sent to elected officials across the U.S. I thank law enforcement for their hard work to keep us all safe.

Today, I received a threatening letter at my Grand Rapids, Michigan office that contained unidentified white powder. The letter, which claimed to be from the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), made a direct and specific reference to an impending “civil war” beginning after the election. The letter sent to my office is similar to those received at other congressional offices across the country. The DSA has not yet addressed the attacks, either to condemn them or to take or deny responsibility. The Grand Rapids Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) responded immediately.
Threats and extremism are not signs of strength—they are signs of a weak mind and weak character. Political intimidation has no place in our democracy, and leaders must condemn it, not excuse it. I’ll keep standing up to bullies on the right and the left.
