Pod with @ashleevance, @Zsshore, and @AJ_Piplica. Full video drops soon - crystal shopping, alien artifacts, and hanging around Ari Aster's Eddington filming location in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
We went to Spaceport America to watch @hermeuscorp go supersonic and did a podcast along the way. @Zsshore and @AJ_Piplica walked us through their plan to create a new era of super fast, autonomous fighter jets for the U.S. Full episode here or wherever you pod - corememory.com/p/the-future-…

Meet our next Quarterhorse: Mk 2.2. Powered by an upgraded propulsion system with new avionics, spike inlet, and additional fuel capacity, our most capable aircraft yet is moving into its flight campaign to Mach 2+. The future belongs to those who build it - faster and faster.

Stealth is getting more expensive every year. @hermeuscorp is betting speed can do the job cheaper. They went supersonic in May, and next year they’re aiming for Mach 3. Two years after our first episode, S3 went back to New Mexico and Atlanta to catch up with the team.

There’s this idea among some comms people that you should jump in during interviews with execs to help move the conversation along. Just don’t. Executives are adults. You’re only making things worse by being combative or trying to “manage” the interview.
Mark Guiducci: “Do you know who Laura Reiley is?” Sam Altman: “I don't.” Mark Guiducci: “She is a journalist. She wrote an essay in the ‘Times’ last year. Her daughter committed suicide after speaking to ChatGPT. ChatGPT did not tell her to kill herself—” OpenAI Publicist: “Mark, We have two minutes left. I want to be respectful, but I’d like to move on and talk a little bit about the future and what’s coming.” Watch the two-part interview: vanityfair.visitlink.me/IRef…

Don't take my word for it - here is Maj Gen Joe Solo Kunkel, Military Deputy Director at Defense Innovation Unit (DIU): "When I talk to groups about Hermeus, they’re doing stuff that is unheard of in the aviation industry. On their first flight, they flew with the gear down—yeah, that makes sense. On the second flight, they put the gear up. That doesn’t make sense on the second flight. On the third flight, they went Mach 1.2. On the fourth flight, they went Mach 1.6. On the fifth flight, they dropped a weapon,” Kunkel said. “These things are all completely unheard of, but I think they’re the benefits of doing your own research and development and using private capital to fund that...and [we're] in contract negotiations right now for [additional DIU funding].” Shoutout to @OwenWest91 , Maj Gen Joe Solo Kunkel ,and @DIU_x... our pace is not possible without your partnership. tectonicdefense.com/exclusiv…

Full-circle moment. I spent years at @anduriltech helping build Lattice. Now we’re making moves to deploy it with Quarterhorse and give even more capability and control to the American warfighter. Autonomy fundamentally changes what aircraft can do. Pair it with high-Mach flight, and the possibilities are limitless. We're going faster. Read more here: hermeus.com/article/anduril-…

People keep saying you have to pick a lane between brand, design, and comms. That running all three is too much. Hard disagree. Going direct means having the taste to build a world and the instincts to know what actually cuts through the noise. It’s all one motion. Chop it up into silos and the whole thing falls flat.

That freeze frame. Beautiful.
New top speed unlocked: Mach 1.6. Since supersonic, the team hasn’t stopped pushing to expand the envelope to higher speeds. Last week, Quarterhorse Mk 2.1 broke its own record — reaching Mach 1.6 on just its fourth flight, with under 90 minutes of total flight time logged. The fastest way to build fast aircraft is to keep flying them.

This was a fun one. Meet the next iteration of Hermeus: a refreshed logo, website, and visual identity shaped by the aircraft we build and how we build them. The new identity is industrial, purposeful, gritty, and hardware-first. A modern interpretation of the iconic aircraft companies that came before us, where function dictated form. Take a look at how we’re building the next great American aviation company: hermeus.com

Just like our engineering, the new evolution of our logo is reduced to the essentials. The wing was refined to improve precision and unify curvature. Our new wordmark is derived directly from the geometry of the wing: angles of the letter cuts are taking from the wing, and internal spacing reflects the intervals between feathers. The updated color system reflects our hardware with greys derived from metal surfaces and pops of yellow.
