Some big personal news - I’m thrilled to be joining 153 Phillip chambers as a reader and beginning a new career as a barrister.
I've had a blast working as a journalist the last 14 years but I'm really excited for a new adventure.
I am, as they say, open to all briefs!

We’re kicking off our election coverage from the southern state of Tamil Nadu. It’s where PM Modi has made 10 trips since the start of the year.
Today marks the beginning of the world's largest democratic exercise as India's general elections begin.
India's PM has set himself an ambitious goal, but to achieve it, he'll have to win over a dubious crowd.

This is absolutely momentous and raises massive questions about the role of the OAIC - for a decade it has accepted a completely erroneous interpretation of the FOI Act. How many requests for important documents have been lost to the void because of this?
#BREAKING: Patrick v Dreyfus
Does a change to a new Minister kill an ongoing #FOI to the old Minister? Can dirt be swept under the carpet? Dreyfus said YES. I said NO. Justice Charlesworth says NO in a decision that strengthens accountability.
A big #transparency win. #auspol
