A day contemplating the events surrounding the Normandy landings. We began at the British Normandy War Memorial, before moving on to view a German artillery battery. After lunch on Omaha beach, we proceeded to American Normandy Cemetery for a final moment of reflection.
An immersive day in French culture; we visited Bayeux Cathedral, followed by the glorious market. We sampled some delicious cheese and crêpes, before viewing the magnificent Bayeux tapestry. We ended the day reflecting upon the Normandy landings, as we progressed to Arromanches.

We were honoured to gather as a school community and alongside our neighbours from Prince George Duke of Kent Court for today's Remembrance Service. The moving poems and readings by our Head Boy & Girl truly touched our hearts.

We celebrated the beginning of Black History Month with a highly informative assembly by Mr Shimmin. Each year group is studying a notable BAME individual as part of their history course. We have also reviewed our English curriculum to ensure diversity within the texts studied.

In Pre-Reception we have been reading the story of the Gingerbread Man. We made our own gingerbread men today. We hope they do not run away. 👨🍳
