🚨Ronan Coughlan on his altercation with Max Dowman before his red card during Fleetwood’s victory against Arsenal: 🗣️ Ronan Coughlan: “I get sick when I see young players with so much pride and arrogance, but so little respect for the game. “We are Fleetwood, so what? We play in League Two, so what? It’s football, and we are here to compete too. Our league position doesn’t make us any less of a football club. “I saw him kick out at Neal, and it wasn’t a good one. I went over to check if Neal was okay, only for Max to lash out and say, ‘This is exactly why you are in League Two and we are Premier League champions.’ “I got angry and told him to shut up. Before I knew it, everyone had gathered around us, and the whole thing turned into a massive confrontation. “I accept responsibility for my reaction, and maybe I should have handled it better. But don’t ever think playing for Arsenal gives you the right to look down on us. “These lads work hard, sacrifice a lot and deserve respect just like everybody else. We might not have the money, facilities or superstar names, but we have pride. “And the funniest thing is that they came here as Premier League champions, expecting to beat a League Two side, yet we are the ones celebrating tonight. “Max needs to understand something: your badge might make you famous, but it doesn’t make you better than everybody else. Football has a way of humbling you.”

🚨💬🎙️| JOSÉ MOURINHO DELIVERS A CLASSIC MESSAGE TO HARRY KANE AFTER WINNING THE BALLON D'OR 🗣️ "Harry, the golden ball. Finally, the football world sees what I saw years ago at Tottenham." 🗣️ "You carried teams, you scored from everywhere, and you never stopped working for the collective. No one deserved this more than you." 🗣️ "I remember back then when you just needed to win a silverware with Tottenham to be the Ballon d’Or top favorite, of course I helped Tottenham get to the Carabao Cup final, but the club said otherwise.” 🗣️ “I also remember the striker who ran himself into the ground, who dropped deep just to start the buildup, and who led by example every single day. That is you. The trophy just makes it official." 🗣️ "It’s your time my friend, smile with your family, and let them talk about it for a week. Then get ready, because there is more to accomplish, it not over yet." 🗣️ "I am proud of you, my friend."

🚨 Toni Kroos on Harry Kane winning the Ballon d’Or ahead of Kylian Mbappe: “I’ve seen some people saying Mbappe was robbed. I don’t agree. Kylian is an exceptional footballer. I know what he can do, and I watched his performance against Barcelona. Scoring twice in a Classico is impressive. But I think people have become confused about what they’re actually arguing. Are we discussing who is the more exciting player to watch? Who is faster? Who can dribble past 3 defenders? Or are we discussing who had the better season? Because those are different conversations. I remember something from my time at Madrid. After one match, we were sitting in the dressing room and one of the younger players was watching highlights on his phone. He showed me a goal and said, ‘Toni, look at this. Incredible player.’ I watched it and said, ‘Yes, very good.’ Then he showed me another clip. And another. Eventually I asked him, ‘Did his team win?’ He said, ‘I don’t know.’ I told him, ‘Then maybe we should find that out before deciding he’s the best player on the pitch.’ He laughed, but I wasn’t really joking. Football has become very focused on moments. A player scores a spectacular goal, everybody shares the video, and suddenly we’re discussing whether he’s the best in the world. But a season isn’t one moment. It’s what you do in February when your team is struggling. It’s how you perform when the opponent knows exactly what you’re going to do. It’s whether your teammates can rely on you every week. That’s why I respect Harry Kane so much. People look at him and see a goalscorer. But watch what he actually does. He comes short to receive the ball. He helps his midfielders. He sees passes that some midfielders don’t see. And then, somehow, he’s still in the penalty area when the chance arrives. I remember playing against Tottenham when Harry was there. Before the match, we discussed his movement, because you couldn’t simply tell your centre-backs to stay close to him. If they followed him, he could create space behind them. If they stayed where they were, he could turn and find somebody running into that space. I remember saying to one of our defenders, ‘Don’t let him make you decide everything for him.’ He looked at me and said, ‘That’s easier to say when you’re not the one marking him.’ He had a point. And Harry has been doing that for years. The difference now is that he’s finally receiving the recognition that should come with that level of consistency. Mbappe can do things Kane cannot do. Of course. But Kane can also do things Mbappe cannot do. And I don’t understand why admitting that has become so difficult. I played with Cristiano Ronaldo. I know what a truly exceptional attacker looks like. But even Cristiano understood that football isn’t decided by how impressive you look in a thirty-second video. You have to produce. Again and again. Harry has done that. And the funny thing is that people are now using Kylian’s two goals against Barcelona to argue about an award that recognises an entire season. It was a brilliant performance. But if you need to explain why somebody deserved the Ballon d’Or, you should be able to discuss more than what he did yesterday. Harry Kane won the award because of what he delivered over the season. Not because he shouted the loudest. Not because he had the most supporters arguing for him online. And certainly not because somebody felt sorry for him after his years at Tottenham. He earned it. You can prefer Mbappe as a footballer. That’s your opinion. But preferring a player doesn’t automatically mean he deserved every award that somebody else won. I think that’s something football supporters should learn to separate. Tonight belongs to Harry Kane. And I don’t think he owes anybody an apology for that.”

Never thought I’d be so happy for a an individual award. Maybe the fact it’s the most justified award…. The most underrated player of our time, finally recognised!!! Congrats Harry Kane!!!

🚨🎙️ Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Harry Kane performance against Arsenal: 🗣️ “If there’s one current player who has earned my respect worldwide , it’s Harry Kane. I’m not sure how many players in the world are as complete as this guy. He doesn’t need to be flashy or make everything about himself. He just comes onto the pitch and plays football.” “He’s not the type of player who cries that the Ballon d’Or is rigged or unfair when he doesn’t win it. No, he lets his football speak. I think he’s one of the few proper strikers I’ve seen who can contribute in midfield, help defensively and still be deadly in attack. When his team needs him, he’s everywhere.” 🗣️ “These are the players we pay to watch. Not just the ones who score goals, but the ones who understand football and do whatever it takes for their team. Kane makes difficult things look simple, and that is a quality you cannot teach every player.” “He doesn’t need to shout or beg for recognition. He simply plays football, and the rest of us watch. Incredible player.”

He's absolutely spot on... We all know referring in 2026 is utterly pathetic but how has this not been sorted out. In Rugby Shaw is sent for that and Benny cautioned for being a silly boy. Refs in football want the player to roll around and feign injury. Pathetic
🚨Rodrigo Bentancur on his altercation with Luke Shaw in the match against Manchester United: 🗣️Reporter: “Rodrigo, you were sent off following the incident with Luke Shaw. Do you feel the referee made the right decision?” 🎙️Bentancur: “Honestly, I still don't understand it. That's what frustrates me the most. I made a clean tackle, I won the ball cleanly, and somehow I'm the one walking off the pitch with a red card. Can someone explain that to me? “Look, football is a contact sport. We're going to make tackles, we're going to compete, and sometimes emotions run high. But if you win the ball fairly, what exactly have you done wrong? “After the tackle, Shaw pushed me. And people need to understand that. I'm not saying I'm proud of how things escalated, but I wouldn't have reacted the way I did if he hadn't put his hands on me first. Why does everyone want to focus on my reaction without looking at what happened before it? “You cannot allow one player to push another and then punish only the person who reacts. That's not how fairness is supposed to work.” Reporter: “Do you think there's inconsistency in the refereeing decisions in this league?” Bentancur: “Absolutely. And what makes it even more frustrating is that I remember a similar incident involving Bruno Fernandes and Phil Foden in the Manchester City game, where Foden was shown a red card. Now we have another controversial situation, and once again, the decisions leave everyone asking questions. “I'm not saying every incident is exactly the same. The referee has to judge what happened, the level of aggression and the context. But that's precisely why I want consistency. If one situation deserves a red card, explain why. If another is different, explain that too. Players deserve clarity. “And of course, this happens with Manchester United involved, and suddenly it becomes an even bigger discussion. I'm not saying United are responsible for the referee's decision, but clubs shouldn't receive different treatment because of their name or reputation. “This league is becoming a disgrace when players leave the pitch feeling that the rules depend on who's involved rather than what actually happened.” “I'm prepared to accept responsibility for my own actions. I'm a professional, and I know I have to control my emotions. But accepting responsibility doesn't mean staying silent when I believe a decision is wrong. “I can take criticism. I can accept a punishment when I've deserved it. What I cannot accept is feeling that the full incident hasn't been judged fairly. “Give us consistency. Give us an explanation. And treat every club the same way. That's all I'm asking for.”

Spence and Burn are exactly why fans should not passionately disagree with selection decisions. We have no idea when it comes to individual game plans, specific roles, personalities etc.
