Not a single team stayed put in this week’s AP Top 25.
Miami is No. 1 for the first time since 2002 and BYU climbs to No. 2 after a historic weekend of upsets. See where your team landed: apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-col…
I’d have UVA, Duke, and Tech all right at -10. Tend to guess UVA would open under that number on the 9.5 side. No real lean on the other two. Would expect all three to close double digits by kickoff if games took place today.
Also prayers up to Merrimack

Is this the best Wake Forest team ever? Let's look at it through 7 games.
+126 point differential. That's the best by any Wake team since 1944. Not 2006. Not 2021. 1944.
37.4 points scored per game, 19.4 allowed. No Wake team has ever scored 35+ and given up under 20 through 7. 2021 and 2022 put up more points but gave up 24–26 a night. 2006 and 1944 could defend but scored about 23.
+123 yards per game over opponents. 2022 was +65. 2021 was +33. That's not close.
4-0 on the road: Purdue, Louisville, NC State, Cal. Last time a Wake team did that through 7 was 1944.
And Gio Lopez: 1,947 yards, 17 TDs, 1 INT, plus 253 rushing yards and 6 more scores on the ground.
The 2021 crowd will say 7-0 and 43 a game. Fair. But that team won shootouts. This one ends games early.
6-1, the only loss to Miami. Best Wake team I've ever watched, and the numbers back it.

Twenty years ago, following an early November victory over #16 Boston College, Wake Forest Coach Jim Grobe said, “It’s time to dream a little bit.”
(Credit to the great @Dave_Goren, who teed up Grobe perfectly in the postgame presser.)
Similar vibes for the 6-1 Deacs in 2026.
"We ain't gotta dream no more, man." - Stringer Bell
Wake Forest is 6-1, 4 straight win, lone loss came against the pending No. 1 team, and the Deacons have outscored their past 3 opponents 136-24.
Go ahead, Wake fans. Get ahead of yourselves.

QB B is Wake's Gio Lopez.
QB A is... Wake's Sam Hartman in 2021 through 7 games.
Bowl eligible entering the bye week. Only loss to a top 5 team. 4 power four road wins. 6-1 overall. Pretty damn good
This has to be the largest margin of victory for three games in Wake history right? 57-3, 38-14, 41-7? Can’t fathom we’ve ever been close to this type of margin right?
Our guy @DeaconSports tweeted so much about Wake today he can’t tweet anymore because Elon is a hater. But he is here with us watching the most dominant stretch of Wake football we’ve ever seen.
Wake is now up 98-3 in the last 6.75 quarters against California ACC teams. It feels like that’s good
