Smart. Mac minis are worthless when activation locked. You can sell the boxes for $50 each on eBay.

Samsung has been the villain for awhile…
First they’ve removed the ability to easily change the battery starting with the Galaxy S6, then removed the headphone jack starting with the Galaxy Note 10/S20.
And now recently, removed bootloader unlocking for all models with One UI 8.

This is because of a « bug » from Microsoft Defender in one update of Windows 11, who magically made VLC plugins cache quarantined by Windows.
Reinstalling VLC or regeneration of the plugin cache will fix this.
Calling open source software embarrassing when it is a Windows update that broke it is quite disrespectful.
Finally switched *away* from VLC *to* Microsoft Media Player, because VLC now takes 33 seconds to start playing an mp3 after clicking on it.
A large sector of open source software is in a truly embarrassing place now...
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
VLC's 33s MP3 startup delay on Windows is caused by a recent Microsoft Defender update scanning its plugin cache. VideoLAN confirmed this as a Windows bug, fixed by reinstalling VLC or running vlc-cache-gen.exe. The mobile screenshot is unrelated.

"The 15th Anniversary was honestly pretty disappointing. Nothing but a shitty, lazy DVD release and absolutely zero acknowledgement of the anniversary itself. Gumball deserves better."

If you are not too far from France, and you are discarding old hardware, consider donating it to @videolan.
As you've seen, we did lately updates to VLC to fix support for Windows XP and macOS 10.7 (and iOS9).
Because you should not need to buy new hardware because of software.
