I recall working for Family Video and something they’d coach you on is something to the effect of- “Don’t lose a customer over late fees. It’s a problem for us if we’re making more money on late fees than we do on actual rentals. We want people to come back.”

Had a dream @FamilyVideo was opening back up. Seen the movies on shelves, posters, the M&M guy 🥰 it all felt so real… Drove past the building this morning and I was crushed 😢 #FamilyVideo #Dream #MissingTheOldDays #VideoRental

Closing 19+ stores last year gave me trauma. I still have dreams that one day you'll reopen. From your former Family Video Multi-Store Manager. @FamilyVideo – at Bay City, MI

Just sitting here on my day off breaking my own heart from remembering memories going to @FamilyVideo. Going out to physically pick a movie and some snacks was the highlight of my childhood. #movielover

You know one of the reasons I grew up loving movies? We didn't have a lot of money, but the local @FamilyVideo gave away free movie rentals for every A I would get on my report card & I just loved going home with a stack of VHS & DVDs to watch with the fam.

Seeing Family Video in Stranger Things has me so nostalgic. It never really felt like the weekend back when unless we went there and got a few movies. 📼 No equivalent today…browsing some app doesn’t come close to waking those aisles.

When I worked at Family Video, my priorities were the exact same as Steve’s.

After watching Stranger Things I thought I would shout out my local Family Video which sadly isn't there anymore. #FamilyVideo #StrangerThings #StangerThings4
