Universal Basic Income would work so much better than our existing means-tested welfare systems. Government should implement #UBI in conjunction with universal basic services like healthcare, children’s education, public safety and water/energy infrastructure. Change my mind.

You can do everything right and still become disabled. You can eat right, exercise, take vitamins, get sun, and still become disabled. No one is immune to disability. We’re all vulnerable. The sooner you acknowledge that, the sooner you’ll realize accessibility benefits everyone.

Say it with me: Children should not be a source of income for their families.

What if I told you that a single income once provided a home, a car, and a comfortable life for an entire family? One shift in the economy made sure that would never happen again. Here’s how they used feminism to double the workforce, slash wages, and turn two incomes into a necessity🧵

Never lend money to friends or family. Money ruins relationships faster than anything else.

Universal Basic Income doesn’t make people lazy. It helps make people free. Free to leave abusive jobs. Free to care for family. Free to recover, create & contribute on your terms. Imagine getting $1,000/month no strings attached. What would you do with that freedom? #UBI
