"For me, if marriage comes, I will get married. But it is not the core of my existence. I mean, I'm doing pretty good.
I have a 17-year-old daughter. Being a single parent and looking after my daughter, I still let her know that being a single parent is not that easy.
That's not what you should aspire to be. Bearing the whole load of raising a child shouldn't be for one person alone. I turned 40 in January, and this is the best time of my life."

The Nobel Prize for Literature always finds at least a reason to validate its winners.
Here is their reason for gifting this year’s Nobel Prize for Literature to Anne Carson:
Should there not be a better focus on the central theme of their writing philosophy across their literary productions?
Should form gain ascendancy over matter?

Katie Mitchell (British theatre director) put the dramatic work on stage in 2019, starring two passionate performers :Renee Fleming and Ben Whishaw.
Is it OK for just one of a writer’s books to be the main focus and the reason they are gifted the Nobel Prize in Literature?
It appears to be a literary experiment. But whatever we deem it to be, you’d we poetry; you’d see play; you’d see prose` you’d see spoken aspects and parts meant to be sung on the stage.
Is it a collection of poems? Is it a drama text? Is it a collection of short stories? Is it a classical critical theory book on the literary art?
I had a hard time grappling with categorising this work. The book is a 64-page long treatise on beauty, art of literary comparisons, and most importantly, the fluidity of traditional genres of literature.
We see how a woman’s image can begin a war, shape society’s perceptions of beauty, influence what is acceptable, mould people’s desire, motivate their intentions and actions.
Drawing upon two potent beauty symbols in Greek mythology (Helen of Troy) and Hollywood’s Norma Jeane Baker (Marilyn Monroe), Carson breaks through thousands of years to draw the lines.
Anne Carson’s 2019 poetic play, “Norma Jeane Baker of Troy,” is a comparative study in beauty, fame, power, war and their effects on people.
But there are so many great writers in this world who meet this description and even better in terms of creative applications of language and genre.
I suspect the work that actually got the attention of the Nobel Prize judges was Anne Carson’s “Norma Jeane Baker of Troy.”
