When you text your daughter to tell her @LNorkett is starting on Saturday - she’s so excited and thankfully it’s 7.30am so a little lie in this week 🤣🤣

8 years ago I was in the stand in the 2014
Paris World Cup watching Elli play. I was the proudest big sister and couldn’t believe what she had achieved so young. I can’t quite believe I’m following in her footsteps and going to a World Cup. Dream big & always work hard 🌸✨🏴

Thank you for this lovely tweet @_JessHayden 🤍
I watched @LNorkett first ever rugby match, Elli’s memorial match, on a cold night in 2017 at St Helen’s, Swansea.
Truly incredible that Lowri has worked her way up to become a World Cup player, just like Elli.
Probably the proudest I’ve ever felt writing a headline

Among the 19 Wales players selected to go to their first World Cup is Lowri Norkett, whose sister Elli died in a car accident, aged 20, in 2017, three years after she represented Wales at a World Cup thetimes.co.uk/article/lowri…
