As we celebrate 25 years of Faldo Design, I am incredibly honoured to be named Golf Course Designer of the Year 2025 at the World Golf Awards. It’s an exciting time for us, with many diverse projects in the works or completed. 📌 Just completed: @qiddiya_en, Saudi Arabia, where we’re creating a truly visionary golf experience at the heart of a brand-new city. 📌 In the works: Ponta do Pargo, Madeira, a spectacular site that marks a bold new chapter for golf on the island. We are also excited for the diverse range of projects coming up in 2026, as we continue to seek to bring strategy, memorability, and lots of fun to the game of golf! This week I was in Madeira, Portugal, where golf is entering an exciting new era! With the development of Ponta do Pargo, a brand-new @FaldoDesign course, the island is signalling its ambition to grow the game and elevate its position as a global destination for golf tourism.  A big thank you to the Government of Madeira and the Madeira Tourist Board for their warm hospitality and for giving us the opportunity to be part of this journey. During the trip I also had the chance to attend the GCAE Conference 2025, which brought together golf facility owners and operators from across Europe. We heard from industry leaders on a diverse range of topics, from future-proofing driving ranges to the rise of short-format golf to driving sustainability across the sport.
