So, the unvaccinated may prompt enough new Covid cases/hospitalisations/deaths to necessitate new restrictions incl lockdowns. And those who will then scream loudest about this infringement of their liberty are.. the unvaccinated. 🙄. #No10PressConference

A strong debut by $BITO - the first bitcoin ETF in the US. IT had the highest natural* volume on day one of any US ETFs in history.

#Bitcoin returns have historically varied between trading hours. In 2021, most returns were made when the European market was open, while the Asian trading hours yielded negative returns. Subscribe to our weekly report: bit.ly/arcanereport Data: @NYDIG_BTC

To all investors out there: I want to know how your investing process & mindset changed from your biggest miss. Mine: Pre-seed, $6M pre-money. Now $6.5Bn co. I turned it down because references from former bosses were terrible. Lesson: References always have context.

The first rule of leadership: put your mission above your ego. The second rule of leadership: if you don't care about your people, they won't care about your mission. The third rule of leadership: if someone has to tell you the first two rules, you're not ready to lead yet.

Many 35yr old entrepreneurs moving to become investors. Early to retire at that age... We need more strong entrepreneurs, not investors! 🙈

Can we remember... Marcus Rashford is 23, raised £200m for kids to eat last year. Jadon Sancho is 21, opened up new football pitches for those in the suburbs of London. Bukayo Saka is 19, a voice for the youth of football today & helping local communities. #StopHate #ENGITA

Many sales roles (VC, brokers, sales reps) are mostly about building a reputation and a brand, and then harvesting that asset. Many stop there. But the REALLY good ones don't stop there but continue to invest in their closed sales/investments yielding a virtuous cycle.

Absolutely. If I think about our Top 12-14 investments so far (unicorns & soonicorns): - At least 2 were almost dead at some point early on - At least 3-4 had a bad year around $20-30M ARR that made them unfundable - At least 5-6 struggled to raise a Series A (different times)
The 4 best investments I've made so far ... Each had a year they were unfundable. Not true of every unicorn and decacorn. But more common than you'd think.

Prediction: AI will cause the price of work that can happen in front of a computer to decrease much faster than the price of work that happens in the physical world. This is the opposite of what most people (including me) expected, and will have strange effects.

We’re about to have a renaissance in enterprise software and IT. Every CIO I’ve chatted with in the past couple months is embarking on significant digital transformation right now. Last year the dam broke, and now it’s a tidal wave.
