After the war, Amsterdam billed the Jews who came back for the ground rent on their homes for the years they were gone. With late fees.

Been saying this for years at @Disturbed concerts.
Concerts should be unifying events. A time when we can shut out the noise of the outside world, and embrace our shared humanity together.

I’m not Jewish. I’m a Canadian atheist with Arab roots. I’m a Zionist because Israel has as much right to exist as any other country. I’m grateful Jewish people now have one tiny piece of refuge on this planet where they can be (relatively) safe from all the violent hate.

Paris knew her UN reports emboldened Islamists attacking Israel.
But did they forget how she also emboldened Islamists attacking France?
Navi Pillay, Sept. 2012: “Charlie Hebdo is doubly irresponsible to publish these cartoons.” She called the cartoons “malicious and deliberately provocative.” Pillay “fully understands why people wish to protest strongly against the cartoons.”

The absolutely odious Navi Pillay has unsurprisingly been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize b/c what encapsulates our moment more than honoring a woman who whitewashed antisemitism, apologizes for terrorism, honors tyrants, and trafficks in anti-Israel conspiracy theories. Three years later, the same jihadist ideology is being celebrated on Europe’s streets.
October 7, 2023: jihadi Hamas terrorists massacred Israelis.
October 7, 2026: Protesters in Amsterdam openly declare their support for Hamas and chant for an intifada.
This is the glorification of terrorism.

Replying to @NYCMayor
While you comment on the "horrific war crimes" of Oct. 7, you do not detail them at all except to say that they were "killed" or "abducted". No note of how people were found burnt to death with their hands and feet bound, how many found bound to trees with their clothing and underwear stripped away and their genitals having been cut or with nails hammered into them, no mention of families burnt alive in their homes, of women raped, of bodies found with their heads cut off, of children and even infants taken into underground dungeons, of the hostages murdered in underground dungeons or Gazan hospitals, or of the months and years that many hostages spent being starved and tortured in those dungeons.
That degree of attention is only paid to the people of Gaza, whose Hamas government spent years planning the above atrocities, radicalizing the population of Gaza to bring them to be capable of such atrocities, that recruited its terrorist army from among Gaza's people, and which paraded the hostages and corpses of Israeli men and women as trophies for the massed people to beat and spit on. You also do not bother to consider how Hamas rejected the call of the ICJ to release the hostages "immediately and unconditionally", or how Hamas has chosen to let Gaza burn rather than disarm or relinquish its dictatorial control of Gaza.
Had you posted only your initial paragraph it would have been acceptable, though only barely adequate. Unfortunately for those New Yorkers, Jewish and otherwise, who support the state of Israel and were horrified by the atrocities of the day, you are first and foremost focused on the Palestinian Arabs, as could be seen in your early presence on the streets calling Israel's counteroffensive a "genocide" even before a single soldier had crossed the border into Gaza. This minimalistic and performative statement by you does not show empathy for the pain of those New Yorkers who mourn the losses of this horrific day. Quite the opposite, you are thumbing your nose at them while you seek to make the people of Gaza the primary victims of the day and the conflict as a whole.
