Thank you to every voter, supporter, volunteer, and donor who made the passage of Proposition B possible. We are hopeful for what fair governance will mean for the future of our region. This campaign shows that if you meet people at their door, year-round, anything is possible!

Today, we filed our lawsuit against Houston Mayor John Whitmire and the members of Houston City Council seeking immediate enforcement of Proposition B (2023). Our press release is below. 1/
Citizens have a responsibility to hold the government accountable to the law. We repeatedly tried to enforce Prop B through good faith negotiations, but the city’s inaction has made it clear that only the courts will compel our elected officials to do their duty. 3/
Today, attorneys representing the Fair for Houston Campaign sent a letter to Houston City leaders with steps that must be taken to enforce the 2023 Proposition B. We remain committed to the pursuit of a fair voting structure at the H-GAC. 1/

This is not the end of the road for proportional representation on TPC or HGAC. Together with our partners, Air Alliance Houston will continue to work for the good of Houstonians.
