Virtually no shot that Angel is in this movie lol
They’ve already reported that they’re going with the original 5 if i remember correctly with rogue, storm & nightcrawler being considered. Emma Frost is confirmed, magneto & professor x are basically confirmed. But doubt that any of the 3 are part of the actual team.

No I mean when Goku beats Frieza on earth. In the original timeline where Trunks never arrives he instantly transmits and kills Frieza and Cold.

Did this clear things up @vivek_13?

You guys understand that they make money regardless right? Like these things are not in competition with each other, the Mouse and Marvel would love for them all to make a bunch of money
The Mouse and Marvel cancelled this show because in two scenes it kept upstaging them multiple times when it came to respectfully adapting Black comic characters and NOT in service for a white character’s arc or story

Yeah Zoom teaching her that was horseshit even when I read it at 10 😭 I guess I just think of Hermes/Mercury of being gods with speed/travel built in. A werecat god has fast in an animal way built in, but that feels like a different thing.

“The fasted land animal” just isn’t the same as breaking the speed of light imo

Not if you’re gonna be weird about it

I think it makes sense for Dick to think of himself as a performer in that way, but imo Bruce sees Batman as his mission. The theatricality isn’t to entertain, it’s a tool in service of the mission. It’s why he didn’t add it until he realized that they need to be afraid of him.

I tend to prefer the Superman suit as a an approximation of Kryptonian clothing that Clark puts on the honor his heritage. I also prefer when superhero isn’t a codified concept when he debuts, so the idea of anyone calling them costumes starts later.

But also I think looking at things based on what’s “in character” from a story from a different writer is a pretty reductive way to look at art. Yeah, Roger Stern writes Captain America differently than Brubaker does. So what?

3) again, I think that in this extenuating circumstance it’s inaccurate to call it cheating. But aside from that, as I said before, thinking of drawings having sex with each other in terms of who’s being cucked is just… weird

To be fair, Joseph Quinn is about to star in a marvel movie

I feel like at the very least since Brubaker’s run they’ve been more like brothers anyway? Even before that, sure Steve was his “mentor” but that can also be a big brother situation. Steve was never meant to be more than, like, 7 or 8 years older anyway.
they're supposed to be father and son btw

Also, I noticed the article you posted says it doesn’t matter if people know the word is racist. If the people using the word aren’t aware of the relatively recent racist connotations of a word, but only the older and way more commonly used one, then what are we even doing here?

Like, as a black person I learned that spook was an old slur so many years after hearing the word spooky. If a culture has largely moved past the racist use of a word, especially when that wasn’t the original use in the first place, again I ask, what the fuck are we doing here??

I’ve long accepted that I’ll have to walk the path of being correct by myself
No. This is my list and I know that book to be bad.

Praying for the day we can admit that Infinite Crisis belongs in here
Replying to @gncgalactus
In reverse chronological order: 1. Judgement Day 2. Secret Wars (2015) 3. Final Crisis 4. DC One Million 5. Acts of Vengeance 6. Crisis on Infinite Earths 7. Secret Wars (1984)

I disagree but I’ll accept that argument for Superman. Batman is still very much so popular in every sense of the word. Like 6 years after BvS the dark, heavily grounded, barely toyetic, noir-influenced movie starring the character made almost the same amount of money.

That is to say, if Zodiac With Batman Characters is able to squeeze nearly 800 million out, there’s no real reason the movie built around him meeting/fighting their other main guy, aka the most iconic superhero of all time, not to cross at least a billion.

Yeah, every trope has an originator. Part of being “iconic” is being an instantly recognizable symbol. Again, you instantly know who Omni-Man represents. It’s part of what makes him work. You can never have heard of Spider-Man and lose nothing with Invincible.

A trope isn’t a built in reference you know? It’s not a direct and deliberate callback to an idea that the audience is assumed/expected to recognize. An archetype is made to clearly reference a known icon.
