Bryan Cranston has written a tribute for his ‘Breaking Bad’ on-screen son RJ Mitte who tragically passed away due to suicide. “We were texting each other just a few weeks ago - figuring out when we could meet for lunch. I don't know if that lunch would have changed his future... But I do know that I loved him.”

"That's one of the BIGGEST COACHING MISTAKES at this level that I have ever seen in my lifetime." 😳 3 years ago today, Miami could've taken a knee against Georgia Tech and won. Instead, they handed the ball off, fumbled ... and then 😅 #GoCanes

Eddie Van Halen. Tokyo Dome. Sitting down. Most guitarists stand up to look dangerous. Eddie crossed his legs and turned "Eruption" into a parlor trick. Tapping. Whammy. That brown sound. Zero rush. Like the building belonged to him and the song was just something he kept in the other room. That's the difference. Talent stands. Genius sits.

The family of Darrell Waltrip issued this statement today regarding Darrell’s health. "We wanted to share a health update with all of Darrell's friends and fans who have supported him throughout his racing career. Recently, Darrell has been diagnosed with Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD) complicated by possible Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) -- likely from injures incurred during his racing career. While this disease will inevitably progress, thankfully it is currently limited to some minor noticeable symptoms. As a result, he will be stepping further away from the public limelight. Be assured, Darrell is happy and otherwise healthy -- spending his time with his wife, Stevie, two daughters and his three young grandchildren. We are all grateful for your continued prayer, love and support! "Boogity! Boogity! Boogity!" -Darrell, Stevie and Family I’m hoping this disease holds off its progress and Darrell still able to continue to enjoy his ‘retirement’ for a long time yet.

The man. The myth. The legend. On what would have been his 65th birthday, we remember James Gandolfini, who will always be a defining figure in New Jersey culture. Those who want respect, give respect. And he’ll always have ours.

Famous Hollywood actor James Wood sat next to the eventual 9/11 hijackers for six hours on an August 1, 2001 flight from Boston to Los Angeles. He didn't know it at the time but it was basically a dry run for the September 11 massacres. The four men sat bolt upright in their first class seats for the entire six hour cross-country flight. They stared straight ahead, refused all food and water, and spoke only to each other in Arabic in hushed tones. Woods was so concerned that he reported his suspicions to the co-pilot in flight, and he claimed that those concerns were passed on to the Federal Aviation Administration. On the evening of September 11, Woods called the FBI and repeated his concerns; they interviewed him at his home the next morning. Woods believed that he had encountered four of the 19 hijackers responsible for the September 11 attacks, who were on the flight to study it in preparation for the attacks. When he looked at pictures of the 9/11 hijackers, he identified at least two terrorists as being among the men that he had seen on his August 1st flight.

Twenty five years ago today, a man on the 81st floor of the South Tower looked out his window and watched the second plane come straight at him at eye level. Stanley Praimnath worked for Fuji Bank. Born in Trinidad, immigrant, family man, a loan officer with an office on 81. When the North Tower was hit at 8:46, he and about twenty coworkers got out and went down to the lobby. There they were told the South Tower was fine, that it was the other building, and that they should go back to work. So Stanley got in an express elevator and rode all the way back up to the 81st floor. At 9:03 he was at his desk on the phone with a colleague in Chicago who was telling him to get out of the building. He looked up toward the harbor and saw an airliner coming at him. Not above him. At him, level with his window, big enough that he could see the markings. He got under his desk and prayed. Flight 175 hit the South Tower between the 77th and 85th floors. The wing came through his office and the tip of it stopped in his doorway, about twenty feet from where he was crouched. The floor above collapsed down onto his desk. He was buried, deafened, and pinned in the dark with fire around him. He got himself out from under the desk and started yelling. Brian Clark worked for Euro Brokers three floors up on 84. He was one of the company's fire wardens, which meant he had a flashlight and a whistle and the job of getting people to the stairs. He had a group with him in Stairway A heading down. Around the 81st floor they ran into people coming up who told them the stairs below were impassable, full of smoke and flame, and that the only way out was the roof. Most of Clark's group turned around and climbed. They died. There was no roof rescue. The roof doors were locked and no helicopter could have landed in that smoke. Clark did not go up, because while everyone was arguing he heard a voice through the wall yelling for help. He left the group and went toward the sound with his flashlight. He found a gap in the shattered drywall and a man on the other side of it. Praimnath asked him whether he was a Christian and asked him to pray. Then Stanley punched and clawed at the broken wall from his side while Brian tore at it from the other, and Clark reached through and got hold of him and hauled him over the debris. Praimnath came through and grabbed him and would not let go, and called him brother. Then the two of them went down Stairway A together, past fire, past water pouring down the steps, through 81 floors, stopping to check on people along the way. They got out of the South Tower and kept moving and were near Trinity Church when the building came down behind them at 9:59. Almost everyone at or above the impact zone in that tower died. A very small number got out, and they got out through that one stairway, and Brian Clark and Stanley Praimnath were two of them. If Clark had gone up with his group, he dies. If he ignores the shouting, he probably still lives, and Stanley Praimnath does not. They are still friends twenty five years later. Praimnath became a pastor. Clark retired to New Jersey and has grandchildren. They still talk about it, and they still call each other brother, because a man who owed nothing to a stranger stopped in a collapsing building to find out who was yelling.

This is Todd Beamer. He prayed before leading a group of passengers to overpower hijackers on Flight 93. He died a Christian, father, husband, and hero. This was his transcript. Todd: Hello… Operator… listen to me. I can’t speak very loud. This is an emergency. I’m a passenger on a United flight to San Francisco. Our plane has been hijacked. Lisa: I understand. Can they see you? Todd: No. There are three that we know of. They have knives — razor knives, like box cutters. Someone announced from the cockpit there was a bomb. It sounded fake. Lisa: Your name? Todd: Todd Beamer. United Flight 93. They killed one passenger in first class. They forced most of us back. Fourteen of us here. Five flight attendants. The guy with the bomb ordered us to sit on the floor. Lisa: Are you okay? Todd: We’re going down… wait. No. We’re leveling off. We changed directions. We’re flying east again. A guy named Jeremy called his wife. She told him two planes hit the World Trade Center. Lisa, is that true? Lisa: I have to tell you the truth. It’s very bad. Both towers are gone. A third plane hit the Pentagon. Our country is under attack. I’m afraid your plane may be part of their plan. Todd: Oh God. Lisa, will you do something for me? Call my wife and my kids. Promise me you’ll call. Lisa: I promise. Todd: Our home number is… You have the same name as my wife. Lisa. We’ve been married ten years. She’s pregnant with our third child. Tell her I love her. I’ll always love her. We have two boys — David, he’s 3, and Andrew, he’s 1. Tell them their daddy loves them and he is so proud of them. The baby is due January 12th. I saw an ultrasound. We still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy. Lisa: I’ll tell them. I promise, Todd. (Lisa patches in the FBI.) Agent: Todd, your plane is on a course for Washington. Best guess is the White House or the Capitol. Todd: I understand. I’ll be back. Everyone knows this isn’t a normal hijacking. We have decided we will not be pawns in their plot. Lisa: What are you going to do? Todd: Four of us are going to rush the one with the bomb. Then the cockpit. A stewardess is getting boiling water. We’ll take them out. Would you pray with me? They pray the Lord’s Prayer. Then: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. God help me. Jesus help me.Are you guys ready? Let’s Roll.

No recording or official transcript of Todd Beamer’s call exists. Operator Lisa Jefferson took brief notes and confirmed she never told Beamer about the other 9/11 attacks, nor was an FBI agent patched into the call. The dialogue in the post is an invented reconstruction. snopes.com/fact-check/tra… leadstories.com/hoax-alert/202…
