Plus je me déplace dans Paris, plus je me demande comment la police a pu laisser piller des rues entières. C’est hallucinant.

Thanks to @MTSlive and @theojaffee for having me on to talk about the Meritocracy Fellowship! If you're a high school senior and "you’re going to the deep end, and we’re gonna see if you can float” appeals to you, apply today / DM me.
Palantir's @jordanchirsch reveals how the Meritocracy Fellowship puts 18-year-olds straight out of high school on Palantir's most cutting-edge software deployments: "We don’t hold back on where to assign them. They’re working on some of our most cutting edge deployments. There's not a field that we say, 'You can’t do this because you’re 18 years old.'" "We aim to invest them with the same degree of responsibility that we invest all of our full-time employees. There’s not like a, 'Oh, go work on this really safe project that doesn’t mean that much to a customer.'" "It’s like, 'You're going to the deep end, and we’re gonna see if you can float.'" @PalantirTech

More obscene wickedness from the Islamic Republic.
Today, they hanged him. The Islamic Republic executed Ali-Sina Mostafavi, an Iranian mountaineer. Let’s be brutally honest. The Islamic Republic will not stop hanging people because we tweet, share hashtags, or beg for mercy. We Iranians wake up every day knowing that another family may receive a phone call announcing that their loved one has been executed. How many more bodies must hang before world leaders understand that condemnation without consequences is not a policy? The United Nations has documented serious human rights violations, forced confessions, and grossly unfair trials in Iran. This is not a lack of information. It is a lack of political will. Stop treating executions as a routine human rights concern. Treat them as an international emergency. We, the people of Iran, are exhausted from burying our loved ones while the world issues statements. We are not asking you to save us with your sympathy. We are demanding that you stop granting impunity to those who kill us.

Yeah I’m sorry, but there is nothing more magical than a crisp 40-60 degree autumn day with a nice comfy sweater and a hot coffee, on a brisk walk with a friend. This map is pure East Coast erasure.
Imagine having 350+ days of comfortable weather every year.

Thank you, @DahliaKurtz, for sharing my son's legacy with your readers.
“My name is Daniel Pearl. My father is Jewish. My mother is Jewish. I am Jewish.” Those were the kidnapped American journalist's last words before his throat was slit. On camera. He would've been his 63 today. Sending love to his father @yudapearl. You and Ruth raised a hero.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp: "I know one of my ideas is important when everyone tells me, 'We could never do that.'" "@MabreyTed, who's a wonderful person who runs US Commercial famously said, 'Please stop talking to Palantirians about how big Foundry's going to be. It's depressing and everybody knows you're out of touch.'" "And he was right. I had to stop talking to people for like six months." Via @ZetaGlobal @dsteinberg10000

The pitiful level of public debate in France about the debt situation next to the scale of the bond-market attack on France last week is just staggering
