I love how clean energy continues to be more cost competitive year after year. This promises greater stability and lower prices for consumers! Keep choosing "clean" and we'll get there together.

I'm encouraged to see that 43% of global electricity is clean energy. We're making progress. Each of us needs to make choices and advocate for the clean prosperous future we desire for ourselves and our children. #ElectrifyEverything ember-energy.org/focus-areas…

Today on Canada's National Day for Truth and Recilliation I'm thoughtful about how Truth is essential before we get to reconcilliation. If people minimize or attempt to bypass the harm, they can't experience the reconcilliation. nctr.ca/wp-content/uploads/2… (recommend reading this)

Witnessing injustice as a form of prayer shifts focus from trying to force an outcome to a deeper act of presence and solidarity. It becomes a way of holding the truth of suffering, refusing to let it disappear, and offering that pain up to something larger. I watch Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

The homes of a quarter of the animals that live in our oceans. Gone forever. We should grieve & know that these tipping points are gonna fall like dominoes. Now is not the time for β€˜carrying on as normal’. All our homes are at risk.

400 MWh of grid forming sodium-ion batteries. Great to see this potentially cheaper alternative to lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries taking off! Still more expensive ($160/kWh for the entire system) but that will change. pv-magazine.com/2025/06/03/c… pv-magazine.com/2025/06/03/c…

Putting people first and seeking equity helps prevent abuses of power like polluting oil and gas industries that leave the population to "pick up the costs". (healthcare impacts, erratic weather, drought. etc.)

So, in Norway πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄ 97% of all cars sold in June were EV. Let that sink in.

1Β°C of global warming does NOT mean that heatwaves 'just' get hotter by 1Β°C. Over large parts of the UK, global warming means that heatwaves are 3-4Β°C warmer, with worse consequences for people and ecosystems.

To fight the pollution that causes climate change we need clean electricity and we need to "electrify everything" that we can. Look how rising fuel costs drove up electricity prices in 2024 for the EU. "burning gas" isn't cheap and is subject to price volatility
πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί EU gas prices rose by 59% in 2024 to nearly DOUBLE its pre-crisis levels πŸ“ˆπŸ’Ά Supplier volatility is also at an all-time high amid geopolitical instability, exposing the risks of overreliance on imported fossil fuels 🚩 ember-energy.org/latest-insi…

When you see someone speaking truth to power. Listen, boost them. Take note. Climate justice won't happen in isolation. We're all in this together.
Why don't we discuss the fact that Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos & Larry Ellison own more wealth than the bottom HALF of Americans? Part of the answer is that the people who own the media are doing phenomenally well. They aren't interested in highlighting massive levels of inequality.

Put these 2 together and it’s clear our governments are totally failing us. 1️⃣ 1,700+ fossil fuel lobbyists at the COP29 climate talks. 2️⃣ UN says the fossil fuel industry is running β€œa massive mis- and disinformation campaign” to delay the transition to clean energy. Links πŸ‘‡

There are 28 fossil fuel lobbyists from πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ at #COP29Baku. I’m quite sure that number doesn’t include the biggest Canadian booster of coal, oil and gas on site - Alberta Environment Minister Rebecca Schulz. I can’t believe we’re having this conversation in 2024. @CAPE_ACME
