Frenchpark Tidy Towns & @roscommoncoco need your help to identify this individual who emptied a bag of deli/cooking/food waste all along our Main Street at 11pm Thursday night.
This was such a despicable act. Truly shocking. Rotten.
Huge opposition yesterday at the unveiling of @roscommoncoco proposed plans for Frenchpark village. One way systems, cycle lanes and 50% reduction in already scarce parking.
A @BealachanDoirin style protest to come?
What’s your thoughts?

The 89-year-old, who died in a road tragedy in Frenchpark on Thursday, was laid to rest earlier today.

15-20 minute delays from all sides coming into Frenchpark this morning due to ongoing works.
Please approach with caution & patience 🙏🙏
These corner pieces in our village, layed in concrete just a short time ago, which served no purpose at all and an eyesore, now being dug up to make way for traffic lights, which will be dug up and removed in 2 years time when the new bypass opens🤷♂️
What a waste of our money
Another close call here on our main street due to another speeding lorry through our village. A local resident was only just lucky getting out of the car. Thankfully everyone is ok. This time. When will speeding be taken seriously through our little village?? #EnoughlsEnough
FARCICAL scenes here in our village. @roscommoncoco have left such a mess in front of residents homes. It’s over 3 months since @ClaireKerrane raised this issue. Residents now park INSIDE the barriers as there is no place left to park. It’s terribly disrespectful to us all #mad
Some beautiful aerial shots taken of our little village on Stephan’s day. Aerial shots often remind us of what a wonderfully beautiful rugged terrain we have that we don’t always appreciate from the ground ❤️#RuralEmpowerment #community #rosgaa @gaelspro
Very sad that @roscommoncoco are now backtracking on developments in our village with LIES!! There has NEVER been perpendicular parking on any of our streets..EVER!!! Please at least have honest debate…Still no public consultation?? #community
Wow
Spooky Experiences: County Roscommon is making international news today as being the location for the origin of Halloween.

So…the needless works have thankfully stopped here in Frenchpark thanks to @ClaireKerrane 🙏🙏 but what is the plan now? How will this be resolved? Will there be public consultation now? & can we resolve the parking issue which has unfortunately been created by @roscommoncoco ??
Yet more works begun this morning, this time at the corner of the N5 junction. PLEASE don’t tell us another monstrosity on this junction?Further parking restrictions which is awful for pensioners trying to collect pensions + a large funeral expected later today. So so insensitive
Frenchpark residents express frustration at road works in the village | Shannonside.ie shannonside.ie/news/frenchpa…
It beggars belief that anyone who looked at the problems in our village thought this was any form of a solution. Mismanagement & such distain towards its residents has now become unacceptable. Several people have approached the engineer on site but has refused to speak to them😡
Monstrosity sums up current works in Frenchpark. No consultation, no sharing of plans and will achieve nothing as regards safety or slow down. Cllr Michael Mulligan and I are seeking an immediate suspension of these works to allow consultation with Residents. @FRoscommon
Another crazy waste of money here in Frenchpark by @roscommoncoco No idea why any of these are needed?? Every action in recent years has incrementally worsened our village. Why is there no public consultation???? The real problems in our village are being neglected #community
And to think the government wanted to close our Post office which is cost neutral anyway????

Fascinating 👏👏
Ratra House, #Roscommon, 1950s. Built 1877 by John French (Lord de Freyne) of #Frenchpark, it became the home of Douglas Hyde (later 1st President of Ireland) & his family. From 1894 #Hyde rented the house for £50 a year from his relatives, the Frenches.
