This major survey of Scotland's teachers provides a stark warning of the current situation in Scottish Education. Teachers are facing significant stress from both their soaring levels of workload and, also, from the cost-of-living crisis.

Say hi to our latest Step Up graduates!
Step Up supports young people unsure of their next career step, including working on their skills and confidence.
We’re proud to see Grace, Sophie, George and Helen take the next step in their careers 🥳

Everyone here at @NCLANVex & @NCLanarkshire would like to say a happy 18th birthday to one of our girls, Hannah. She is always smiling, has a new story for me each week, loves Harry Potter, she is a great Vex driver, and great at doing French plaits 💞. From your Vex family 😊

Teachers do not want to be on strike, but the fact that they are is an indictment on politicians within the Scottish Government and COSLA who have the authority to deliver a better pay deal, but have failed to do so. #PayAttention #EISStrike

A massive thank you to the young people from @FPSMotherwell and @stambrosehigh for volunteering their time to support this competition ⬇️
These events would not be as successful without your support 👍🏻🙌🏻
Thank you 😊

Delighted to see 18 secondary schools and over 180 girls compete in the #NLActiveSchools girls football league this afternoon at St Ambrose HS ⚽️
There was a great attitude from all players given the windy and cold conditions 🥶

Six local schools with various abilities spread out over 3 classrooms are designing, building and coding robots with great support from their teachers and support staff. Great being back and seeing the enthusiasm from the pupils and teachers, I don't know who was more excited :)

So last night we started back VEX Robotics here at @NCLanarkshire and it was buzzing. It's been a long 2 and a half years but it was great to see some old faces return and a warm welcome to all the new recruits. The madness that is @VEXRoboticsUK at NCL on Wednesday evenings.

The current offer is an average of 5.07% and is not enough to end this dispute. The Scottish Government and COSLA must #PayAttention and come back to the negotiating table with a significantly improved offer.
ALT The 'new' pay offer to teachers is just the pay offer before that, rebranded. Scottish Government and COSLA must do better!

Teachers should have received a pay rise in April – it's now December, almost Christmas, and we are still waiting. #PayAttention
ALT The Scottish Government and COSLA have dragged negotiations out endlessly - that is no way to treat Scotland's teachers who delivered so heroically during the pandemic and who continue to go the extra mile for children and young people every day.
