GW7 Need the differentials to perform this week! 🤞🏼 Obviously not ideal having no Brighton but there was no one I was desperate to bench. Also sneakily hoping Hinshelwood and Vuskovic are good differentials by GW10.

Down to 850k 💀 What was a decent start to the season has turned into a bit of a disaster. Choosing to go against Brighton and back Forest on WC5 couldn’t have gone worse. Squad still feels ok with 3 FTs. Plenty of time to go…

Kinsky, Williams, Saka, MGW, Tav: GWs 1 to 4 - 8/20 blanks. GWs 5 to 6 - 10/10 blanks. How’s your luck 🤮

JP gamble on WC5 isn’t looking good given that Chelsea goal market drop. Doubly bad as I could/should have beefed up the squad. Might be going 3 deep on the bench. Quite how I ended up without Pascal Gross I don’t know 🤦🏼‍♂️

@PlanetFPLPod afternoon boss. Any chance you can get @mcfcpringle on the pod? Be good to hear what a proper City fan thinks about all this bother.

GW5. 43 points on WC. Sixes and twos. But most importantly, a three: 🔝

Between these two squads for WC5. Left has Pedro. Right has Wissa & Groß to beef it up and cover if Pedro is out longer, but has no clear route back to him. Tav v Barnes also on my mind, particularly for the left squad, to get more info on Bournemouth while in Europe.

On WC5. Tempting to keep DCL for a week and book the move back to JP.

Delaying WC meant White was a differential tonight 😑

Things to note / takeaway from last night: - Haaland swallowed up all the chances. 6 shots, all in the box, 4 on target, 1.33 xG. - Felt like we were quite open but only conceded 0.22 xG (@FlapjackFpl onto something? 👀) - Nunes >>> Khusanov at RB

- Nunes enables Foden & Cherki to play together, but Gvardiol then sits in the back 3. - Bouaddi solid. Simplistic to think he will be the CL #6 with Anderson the PL #6? - Enzo 90 mins and good. First evidence for the theory about him being the best MID for xMins under Maresca.

3 days later he plays Foden and Cherki together 🙃

Asterisk season for me from day dot because of this fella.
🗣 Xabi Alonso: "It's especailly frustrating for him [Palestra]. He came with huge energy, huge desire to enjoy his game in the Premier League. He had a very good pre-season and a few days before the first game against Fulham, he picked up an injury. It’s part of the life of a football player to come back from injury and we will need him for sure. He has great potential and will add a lot of good qualities we need in the team."
