Here’s a game of deception and betrayal that will keep you on your toes! Let’s break down the basics of the Castle of Blackwater!

At the start, 10 players anonymously arrive at the Entrance Hall and are assigned their factions and roles.

1️⃣ What are the factions and their win conditions?
🛡️Protectors (7) - fill up the XP bar by completing tasks or eliminate all Satanic players
😈 Satanic (2) - eliminate all the non-Satanic players
🐺 Forgotten (1) - complete 1 easy, 1 medium, and 1 hard task, kill 1 Satanic and 1 Protector.

2️⃣ What can the factions do?
🛡️ Protectors - They do not know the roles and factions of other players. However, they have active and passive abilities that can help them survive and win (e.g. the Knight can shield another player from attacks).
😈 Satanic - They can secretly communicate with other Satanic players. They have access to secret passageways in the castle. They also have “Satanic Sense” (when activated, it reveals the location of players).
🐺 Forgotten (Werewolf) - They look like ordinary players during the day, but they can roam anonymously at night after being exposed to moonlight.

3️⃣ How do you play the game?
There are 3 events that repeat until the game ends:
☀️ Day Cycle - you can move around the castle and pick tasks from the Book of Task (only for Protectors) in order to fill up the XP bar
🌙 Night Cycle - you can choose between staying in the Safe Zone for the rest of the night (nobody gets killed here), or roaming around the castle with more danger (but you get bonus XP for finishing tasks at night!)
✋ Voting Round - all players discuss, accuse, and vote if someone’s guilty or innocent. If found guilty, they will be eliminated.

4️⃣ How do you investigate and gather evidence against other players?
📒 Writing - Write your observations and suspicions on your notebook (you’ll be given one in the game!) You can also check the Permanent Record where players write down their thoughts for all other players to see.
🔍 Abilities - Use your active and passive abilities to your advantage (e.g. The Sheriff can see a trail of bloody footsteps from a body left by a killer, and the Mentalist can investigate a player’s hands if they have blood).
🎙️ Socialize - Communicate with other players to either build an alliance with them or catch them in a lie.
