“Our banks have had panic buttons forever. Our elderly has had their panic button around their neck,” said Cepeda-Freytiz. “This should be a standard level of school safety protection in every school.” ⁦@lorialhadeff⁩ ⁦@MakeSchoolSafe8⁩ bradfordera.com/news/panic-b…

Yesterday the school safety profession lost an icon and leader. Eugene "Red" McAllister passed away at the age of 89 years old. His legacy lives on with today's Modern Day Miami-Dade Schools Police Department.

As we move through the holidays, 2 dates remind us of the reasons behind our mission. Dec 11 marks Joey’s birthday & Dec14 stands as the #SandyHook day of remembrance. This year, I am honored to share the meaningful work we have done in their honor. bit.ly/3GuK3fM

Great job @IRSCTheriver and Chief @KeithTouchberry for developing a model program to teach future educators about school safety. Should be required to graduate in every college teaching program around the country. wpbf.com/article/florida-irs…

Safety program for future teachers studying at IRSC may be coming to another Florida college

The program teaches future educators how to respond to emergencies as well as, how to barricade doors in case there's an intruder, respond if there's an active shooter and administer aid.
