Florida High Cheer

Your body language toward missed shots, teammates’ mistakes, being whistled for fouls, getting your butt kicked on a play, being subbed out of the game, how you lose & handle any adversity tells coaches all they need to know. What’s your body language saying about your maturity?!

Players: Everything starts in the offseason. To be successful next season, you gotta lay the bricks first. You have to create the foundation & work like crazy! Next season has already started. It’s not summer break. It’s summer “put in work” & it’s the only way you’ll improve!

Players: Your athletic career is very temporary; character lasts a lifetime. The person you are is far more important than the player. Are you kind, trustworthy, compassionate? Do you help ppl? Is your word more than just words? Be someone people respect as an athlete & a person.

Sports teach values you will live by forever. Discipline, leadership, respect, honesty, loyalty, facing adversity, pride. If you’re lucky enough to be part of a team with values, be smart enough to use them in life. Let them guide you. You will live by them long after the game.
