Rocket Racing shuts down on October 1st, 2026 according to Patch Notes from Epic Games, on October 1st, 2026, Rocket Racing will be shut down, all the Rocket Racing assets will be removed AND all the UEFN islands that used them will be unpublished and no longer playable. i'm sure there was a lot of people who liked to play rocket racing or used RR stuff in UEFN islands, but they simply don't care and decided to throw all the players into the mud, *nuking* the entire thing AND all the work they've done in UEFN with RR assets🙏 this event sounds really alarming since there's at least one more of their IPs that's getting the RR treatment, Fall Guys if you're unaware, the game has been set on autopilot with pre-scheduled content over a year ago, since then, the official @/FallGuysGame account was gone pretty much radio silent, and there wasn't a single update bigger than a small patch released since. the last piece of content that was scheduled for the game, ends on January 1st, 2027, and there was still no official statement on the state of the game and no updates were released that included at least ANY content (not even the autopilot extension), at least for now. and especially with this background of RR getting the similar treatment and actually getting shut down, this raises huge concerns and questions about the future of Fall Guys, their other side project they seemingly just keep up as a cash cow... ...except they haven't fed the cow since last year, and they're likely *not* gonna keep that cow alive in near future, and it'll likely face the same fate as RR, despite having small yet very dedicated and lovely fanbase, that is still here despite everything Epic has done to the game. yeah i know that it might not look correct getting to that conclusion for Fall Guys (standalone game) based on Rocket Racing's (that was initially launched as a fortnite gamemode) state but we still cannot deny that both games were getting the same really bad treatment, like they don't even exist, and RR is still Epic's product that they decided to pull the plug on and at this point it doesnt even matter if it's a standalone game or a gamemode, it's clear that they're *not planning* to work on either of these projects, and to Epic, both seem like a dead weight that they want to just throw away to free up all the resources and money so they could go all into fortnite their beloved 🥰 so the event like this is not something that you can just forget about, and it really raises a lot of concerns and questions about the future of at least one of their other projects that they're treating the same way, and if looking at the fate of Rocket Racing, the future is *not* looking bright 🙏
