If it’s the equipment, why didn’t Kahne, Schrader, Craven, Jr, Mears, Vickers, Nadeau and a host of others win like Elliott has?

Elliott has made the championship 4 three times since 2020 and was one position away from making it last year. The only year he hasn’t been in the mix until the final transfer race is the year he broke his leg. So your assessment of his advancement skills isn’t based in reality

Remind me who was leading the race when that big wreck happened.

He also had race winning speed at Pocono, Michigan & Mexico City. He also has the best average finish in the garage. He’s also shown throughout his career that he can win on a variety of surfaces/tracks. Anyone who thinks he isn’t a championship contender is just a hater.
He said that he appreciated the push from Alex and he would remember that going forward. Said Alex is fast and deserves to win. It was on the TNT post race set.

He ran him all the way to the yellow line. If he had been any more aggressive that that, they would have wrecked the field.

I’m far from a Denny Hamlin fan, but you HAVE to be aggressive to succeed in these types of races. Sometimes it bites you.

I mean… Elliott passed Bowman I. The final couple laps.
