Did you know we have over 75 staff members that work at Fortville Elementary? Starting this week we will have a "Meet the Team Tuesday" where we show you each of the amazing teams here at FES.
Today’s "Meet the Team Tuesday" features our Kindergarten teachers!
Orange House was our House Leader with the most points in Q1! Each class from Orange (K: Mrs. Hovis, 1: Mrs. Rusk, 2: Mrs. Jones, 3: Mrs. Tyner, 4: Mrs. Feltman) dismissed a few minutes early. The Viking horns were heard loud and clear at dismissal! Congrats, Orange House!
Today's related arts class was MEGA fun because it was the mega special! The entire grade level got to spend their related arts time together, with the choice to rotate amongst the different specials!
For the month of September, we focused on "Teamwork" with our House points. Purple House was the winner and got to celebrate on Monday morning with a Viking Row and little extra recess!
Yesterday our first graders went on a field trip to Conner Prairie where they finished their Long Ago/Today Social Studies unit. After learning how technology, communication, school, transportation, and home life was different long ago, this trip let them experience it.
Our Kindergarten classes had a week full of learning about Community Helpers. We are thankful for all those who provide important services in our community, and we are especially grateful to those who came in to talk with our classes through the week!

TY @wrtv for sharing our @FESElem's 4th grade masterpiece! These students experience cross-curricular learning with this project, including English, social studies, math, science & more. The best part is, they don't know they're learning because it's so much fun! #WeRMV
