🛑 Europe is facing a paradox: despite ambitious policies, our circularity rate remains stagnant and in plastics, the very symbol of circularity, recycling capacity is declining.
At the discussion, we highlighted a simple but urgent truth: this is not a failure of ambition, but of market design.

At today’s session “The Circular Economy Act: Making Circular Markets Work”, FEAD President Claudia Mensi joined a panel moderated by Aurel Ciobanu-Dordea 🇪🇺 (DG Environment) to discuss how to make circular products competitive.
🎙️She stated: 'European companies are global leaders in recycling and recovery, this must be fully recognised. We need a sustainability index that prioritises materials treated and recycled in Europe, driving demand for recovered resources'.
