Nah nonsense you talk for here if it's true tho! Who'd fix it if not government...
Stop the habit of Waiting For The FG, fix your electricity problems — Shettima Tells State Governors Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged state governments to stop depending on the Federal Government to solve their electricity problems and establish functional electricity markets under the Electricity Act 2023. Speaking through Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, at a workshop in Abuja on Wednesday, Shettima said reliable electricity was essential for Nigeria’s industrial growth. “The Act empowers States to develop and regulate intrastate electricity markets within the applicable constitutional and statutory framework. “Electricity supply must become a shared responsibility, pursued with innovation and accountability across the Federation. Our States must shed the habit of waiting for Abuja to provide every answer,” he said. He cited solar potential in Sokoto, Borno and Katsina, gas resources in Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa, and hydroelectric opportunities in Niger and Kebbi, urging states to harness them for economic development. Shettima urged states yet to establish electricity regulators to act promptly. “Legislation cannot implement itself. States yet to act must begin their legislative and institutional preparations promptly. They need to establish functional electricity regulatory bodies with technical competence and capacity,” he said. He also called for private investment, saying, “Private capital must arrive with technology and expertise.” On consumer protection, he warned against arbitrary billing and poor service, adding, “The final verdict on this law will be delivered wherever a Nigerian reaches for a switch.” The Director-General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Dr Abdulateef Shittu, said work was ongoing on a standard tariff framework to protect consumers while attracting investment. The electricity commission’s Head of Compliance, Hauwa Yakubu, disclosed that regulatory transfers had been issued to 17 states. President Bola Tinubu signed the Electricity Act in June 2023, allowing states to regulate electricity generation, transmission and distribution within their territories.

This is the kind of energy I love!
Replying to @Efyakimora
We Nigerians are aware that no country in West Africa is as developed as Nigeria, and only a few in Africa are more developed than ours. We only complain cos we know that we have what it takes to be better than this. Above all, may God heal our land, and may Nigeria succeed👏

Useless Nigerians you'll see them blaming Nigeria and Nigerian passport for their misfortunes. Not knowing they're the cause. Demarketing Nigeria, committing crimes all over the world and trooping out en-mass like idiots
“Being a Nigerian will make you believe that certain things are so difficult to achieve. I used my St. Kitts passport to apply for a UK visa, and I got approved in less than one minute. Same thing happened with Canada. When I applied with my Nigerian passport, it took six months, but when I used my St. Kitts passport, I got approved in four weeks and was given a six-year visa.” — Fekomi

I watched this video a countless time just to look at the layout, this is exactly what an average neighbours look like at Ikotun, egbeda, ajangbadi.. but look at the intentionality, greenery, neatly tarred roads.. @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat please look into this!!
This is what you call a City . None of these overpopulated tattered "slumy" clusters we call cities in Nigeria . Only Lagos comes a bit close

This is what I expect that grandma at @NafdacAgency to be doing. Go around Lagos and start arresting those guys producing fake products and sentencing them to live imprisonment.. not just sitting and saying Nigerians don't read
NAFDAC has uncovered a suspected counterfeit production facility at Zamfara Plaza, BBA Trade Fair Complex, Lagos State. Two suspects were arrested at the scene while tampering with energy drinks and popular wine and whisky brands. They were caught with fake energy drinks during the operation.

My honest opinion: KIGALI IS THE MOST OVERRATED CITY IN AFRICA not really that developed. But something always gets my attention from the videos: Organisation and Orderliness. That makes it better than most African city we should learn from it @Midatlblog @drobafemihamzat
In Rwanda, everyone is organized, relaxed, and easygoing; people don’t walk as if they are ordered to vacate the city in 20 minutes.

Just look at what building roads could do to a city! Honestly I don't see anything in this Adis Ababa that we can't have something better at IKOYI, VI, Lekki, Marina @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat @Midatlblog
The pace of Addis Ababa's growth is rapid.🤯 Ethiopia 🇪🇹

Nigeria is renovating a 50 years old airport and expanding it to 17 million annual passangers for just $500 million but Nigerians won't stop crying. Here is Angola with a smaller size for almost ×8
🇦🇴 Angola built a $3.8 billion airport designed for 15 million passengers a year. 1) In 2025, it handled just 756,028: barely 5% of capacity. 2) 🇹🇷 Turkish Airlines has now dropped Luanda from its network.

I wonder if the people leading these countries like the Netherlands have 10 heads
Five years driving in the Netherlands and I have never jammed a single pot hole. I find it funny when someone wants to buy a car from me and asks me to check the legs. Check for what? 😭

I said this but some people said I'm crazy @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat look at his
We should make it a law that every road we construct, especially street roads, must have covered drains. We should not have to see open gutters again. A body should vet designs before engineers go to site. If what you build is different from what the body approved, you should be in trouble

All these things no concern @NafdacAgency Na to just sit for office and watch Nigeria die in mass while they laugh.... I've never seen a useless agency as that in my entire life!
Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has also raised alarm 🚨 about circulation of fake products in the country, saying kids are now battling kidney disease. NAFDAC and other agencies has to fight this fake products everywhere in Nigeria 🇳🇬

This should be replicated across Lagos. Mostly on the Island, Clean roads, Intentional landscaping, covered drainages, no street trading, greenery, road signages, Clean and tarred inner streets etc @Midatlblog you have a bigger platform you can help forward it to Lagos authority
This is Yorubaland, Lagos, Nigeria. No African country is beating this. I repeat no African country can boast of a skyline view like this in the whole of Africa. None!!!
