Many of Florida's first responders were personally impacted by this storm, yet they continued to put their communities ahead of themselves. Thankful for their dedication to service and for @GovRonDeSantis' leadership to assist them in this way.

Helping farmers helps Florida. Restoring critical roadways and resources for our agricultural partners is an essential step in keeping our supply chain thriving and products in the hands of consumers.
👨‍🌾 Disasters don’t just impact households. They also impact the farmers who keep Florida’s agriculture industry growing. Today, FDEM Executive Director Jared Perdue joined Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson to assess storm-related damage to local farms & agricultural operations. 🚜 From damaged crops & equipment to impacts on critical agricultural infrastructure, @FLSERT continues working alongside @FDACS to identify recovery needs & coordinate assistance for impacted farmers & ranchers. We’ll do whatever it takes to help Florida’s agricultural community recover & get back up & running. 🤝 🔗 Florida farmers in need of assistance can visit FDACS.gov for agricultural recovery resources & FloridaDisaster.org/Updates for additional disaster recovery information.

Thankful for the leadership of @GovRonDeSantis throughout this storm event. Together with all the state and local agencies that make up the State Emergency Response Team, we've been on top of providing a variety of resources and services to the communities in need.

Great work @MyFDOT @MyFWC
Storm recovery also means looking out for our furry friends. While performing a bridge assessment drone mission in Okaloosa County for flooding of the Shoal River, our @MyFDOT_SEFL drone team spotted a baby white-tailed deer stranded in the flood water. We called our partners @MyFWC who assisted us in getting the deer to safety!

Job well done by the OneFDOT team! Loved seeing our team come together to get this mission across the finish line.
All hands on deck from every corner of the state to finish cut and toss in Santa Rosa County. Today, @FDOT_Secretary Jared Perdue joined our field crews after blitzing for the last 24 hours to get this job done quickly.

Getting people back to work, children back in school, and families back together is major part of storm recovery operations. By combining efforts with local and state agencies, we are working together to make a real difference for the communities who were impacted by the storm.
FDOT stands ready to help our local partners when they’re in need. To accelerate restoration efforts in Santa Rosa County, FDOT deployed over 500 personnel and over 100 pieces of equipment for cut and toss operations on local, rural roads. These teams continue to work nonstop to clear debris blocking roadways and help the community return to normal as quickly as possible.

Made a quick stop to see @MyFDOT crews while visiting the impacted areas from the storm. Grateful for team members who are willing to drop everything and serve their communities like these cut and toss crews. Appreciate all the state agencies working around the clock for Floridians.
Today, @FDOT_Secretary Jared Perdue and Chief Operations Officer Will Watts visited our Milton Operations team. Following any storm, our FDOT front line crews are often the first boots on the ground to impacted areas and are key players during response efforts.

Truly impressed by the magnitude of work our @MyFDOT crews accomplish when disaster strikes. In under 16 hours, they repaired and reopened access to this state park road washed out by #Isaias. Working alongside @FLDEPNews and our local partners, we are able to do what matters most: Getting our communities back in shape after a disaster.

This is what collaboration in action looks like. Working alongside our partners is one of the most important parts of a swift and efficient recovery process during great times of need. Proud of all the hard work being done by those who put Floridians first.
Early this morning, FDOT and FHP escorted @insideFPL teams to advance power restoration efforts across areas impacted by Hurricane #Isaias. As FDOT continues our mission during the recovery process, we are happy to lend a hand wherever needed, working alongside our partners to serve our communities!

As #Isaias nears the Gulf Coast, Governor Ron DeSantis has directed the suspension of tolls on Mid-Bay Bridge and Spence Parkway in Okaloosa County and Garcon Point Bridge in Santa Rosa County to facilitate evacuations out of the storm’s direct path. Due to increased traffic, remember to be patient and drive carefully. Use FL511.com or download the Florida 511 app for the most up-to-date road conditions. #ReadytoServe

This is what delivering for a growing community looks like. On top of being delivered an entire year ahead of schedule, this new direct connection to I-95 will cut travel times in half.
Opening Today! The new I-95 interchange at Oslo Road delivers an entirely new connection to I-95, the first new interchange in Indian River County in over 50 years. This long-awaited connection will improve access for residents, businesses, emergency response, and hurricane evacuations.

This is a major upgrade for a growing region, both every day and when it matters most.
From two lanes to six. The ribbon has officially been cut on the newly widened River Road in Sarasota County, tripling capacity and strengthening a critical hurricane evacuation route for Southwest Florida. Read here for more information: bit.ly/46SYLe1

Great to see the progress being made on the Shands Bridge replacement project this week. The scale of this effort is impressive, but what stands out most is the team delivering it. The First Coast Expressway is supporting economic growth and strengthening connections across Northeast Florida for generations to come.
This week, @FDOT_Secretary Jared Perdue joined the project team for a firsthand look at progress on the new St. Johns River bridge, a key component of the First Coast Expressway. The $595 million project is part of the 46-mile corridor that will strengthen connections across Northeast Florida, improve access to the Port of Palatka and help relieve congestion throughout the region. Every beam, pier and deck section brings us one step closer to a safer, more connected future. @MyFDOT_NEFL

FDOT’s Spaceport Improvement Program was created to provide critical support to Florida’s spaceport infrastructure and push the boundaries of what can be achieved. Florida is the place for space.
Did you know that space activity in Florida goes beyond the Space Coast, including three designated spaceport territories in Northwest Florida! Other than launches, FDOT supports Florida’s growing space industry through funding and aerospace infrastructure improvements to strengthen transportation connections, support aerospace operations, and prepare Florida for future growth in the space industry. @MyFDOT_NWFL
