On BNB Chain, I honestly haven’t seen many tokens with this kind of stock vibe holding up this well
We’ve already seen plenty of runners around the stock narrative on Robinhood Chain and Solana, but BNB Chain still hasn’t really had a clear name representing this meta yet
b-money feels a little different
It still has that stock vibe, but the core narrative is actually much closer to Bitcoin , hold the token and receive BTCB rewards
And compared to the stock meme narrative, I think the BTC angle gives b-money another layer that could help it maintain attention over the long term
What makes it even more interesting is that there isn’t even a dev behind it anymore. From what I’ve researched, the community has basically taken over, while the top holders are still holding and actively working to push things forward
Hopefully it can have a journey similar to STONK in terms of longevity and maintaining attention, while building its own identity around the BTC narrative
Pretty bullish here

Continuing today’s memecoin recap series, and the first one I want to talk about is $b-money
A lot of you probably already know this one, as it had a pretty strong run on BNB Chain before
The chart has now corrected more than 70% from the top and is back around the $4M market cap range. I think this is a much better time to revisit the thesis and see whether there’s still enough behind the story for another wave
Let’s break it down
1. First, let’s understand the $b-money narrative properly
$b-money is currently a community memecoin on BNB Chain
It borrows its name and lore from b-money, proposed in 1998, but it is not a tokenized version or an official continuation of what Wei Dai originally designed
That said, the lore itself is pretty strong
In 1998, Wei Dai proposed b-money, one of the early ideas for decentralized electronic money that existed before Bitcoin
Roughly a decade later, Satoshi even referenced b-money in the Bitcoin whitepaper
So unlike many memes that have to create their lore after launch, the name b-money has genuinely been part of crypto history for a long time
But there are two things we need to separate here
The lore comes from b-money
The token mechanics do not
The current token basically takes a real piece of Bitcoin history, turns it into a meme, and adds a very simple mechanic
Hold b-money and earn BTCB
And to me, the combination of Bitcoin lore and BTCB rewards is what actually makes this one interesting
2. The mechanics are what I find more interesting
If they had simply taken the b-money name and launched another memecoin, I honestly wouldn’t find it that special
What I like more is how Bitcoin is directly tied into the token mechanics
Every transaction has a 1% buy tax and 1% sell tax
That tax is converted into BTCB and distributed to eligible b-money holders
You only need to hold at least 10,000 tokens to qualify
No staking, no locking, and most rewards are automatically sent to your wallet
In simple terms, people trade b-money, generate tax, the tax gets converted into BTCB, and BTCB flows back to holders
According to the community dashboard, when I checked around September 18, 2026, more than 3.5 BTCB had already been distributed
That’s also why the community has been pushing a pretty simple line
Hold b-money, stack real Bitcoin.
Of course, BTCB is tokenized Bitcoin on BNB Chain, not native BTC sitting directly on the Bitcoin network. The main trading pair is also b-money/BTCB.
But from a narrative perspective, I think the structure is pretty smart.
Instead of rewarding holders with more b-money and continuously inflating the supply, trading activity is converted into an asset tied to Bitcoin and distributed back to holders.
3. What about the chart?
This is actually what made me want to revisit it now
$b-money previously ran to around a $15M market cap, then retraced more than 70% and is currently back around $4M
The $3.5M to $4.5M area is starting to move sideways after a pretty deep sell-off, but I still think it’s too early to call this a confirmed base
And I don’t really like the logic of saying ATH was $15M, now it’s $4M, so it must be cheap
Memes don’t work that way
Being down more than 70% from ATH simply means the risk and reward is easier to look at than when people were chasing at $10M to $15M. It doesn’t prove that $4M is the bottom
A meme having one big wave and then dumping 70% to 80% is completely normal
So for me, there’s a dip, but the bottom isn’t confirmed yet
4. BTCB rewards are both the strength and the weakness
This is probably the most important part of the $b-money thesis
The dividend mechanic sounds great, but BTCB doesn’t appear out of nowhere
It depends on activity
More volume means more tax and more BTCB distributed
The opposite is also true
Lower volume means lower BTCB rewards
So the ideal flywheel is pretty simple
Volume creates tax. Tax creates BTCB rewards. Holders receive BTCB. That creates more content and social proof, which can bring new attention and more volume
If that flywheel starts working, then the mechanics actually strengthen the $b-money narrative
Holders can literally see BTCB arriving in their wallets, the community gets more content to post, and that can potentially bring more attention back to the token
But the downside is just as obvious
If people stop trading, BTCB distributions fall and the whole stack Bitcoin narrative becomes much weaker.
That’s why I care much more about whether volume comes back than how far the token has fallen from ATH
5. We also need to be accurate about Wei Dai
I’ve seen some people take the fact that Wei Dai mentioned the b-money token and frame it almost like he endorsed the project
He didn’t
Wei Dai is not behind the token and does not endorse it.
He also clarified the original b-money concept, including that the b was related to broadcast and burn, and pointed out that the current memecoin is quite different from what he originally proposed
So I wouldn’t use the narrative that Wei Dai’s idea finally became a token
They’re two completely different things
But I actually think this creates an interesting angle for the meme
A token appearing almost 30 years later has pushed the market to dig back into a proposal from 1998 and talk again about Wei Dai, Satoshi, and the history before Bitcoin
For memes, sometimes having a story deep enough for the community to keep telling is more valuable than trying to force an endorsement that doesn’t exist
And $b-money at least has that advantage
6. So how am I looking at $b-money?
I think this one is more interesting to watch than a lot of the usual tax and dividend memes on BSC
Not simply because it’s down more than 70%
There are actually a few things that still keep me interested here
Real lore, real BTCB rewards, and some strong holders still sticking around
Another thing I’ve been watching is who is still holding after the drawdown
Some bigger names like @wizardofsoho , @theunipcs and @dingalingts are still holding $b-money despite the price being significantly down from ATH
I wouldn’t treat KOL holdings as a reason to buy by itself, but I do see it as a decent conviction signal
It’s one thing to hold when the chart is pumping and everyone is talking about it
It’s another thing to still have exposure after a correction of more than 70%
For memes, I actually care quite a bit about who is still around after the first wave is over, especially once the hype has cooled down and the chart stops being easy
Of course, these positions can change at any time, so this is something I’ll keep monitoring rather than blindly following.
But if these holders remain involved while volume and attention start coming back, I think it gives the second-wave thesis another interesting angle.
That said, for another real wave to happen, I still think three things need to come back together
Volume
Social attention
Capital flowing into BNB Chain
And out of those three, volume is still the most important one for me
If volume comes back, BTCB continues getting distributed, the bigger holders remain around, and the community manages to connect b-money, Bitcoin history, and stacking BTCB into one coherent narrative, I think the current range becomes much more interesting than when the market was FOMOing at $10M to $15M
But if volume keeps drying up and social attention doesn’t expand, then being down 70% means nothing
$4M could easily just be where the chart takes a break after the first wave
So I’m not looking at this as a simple down 70%, easy buy setup
I’m looking at it as a Bitcoin-history meme being tested by the market for a second time.
The lore gives people a reason to remember it
BTCB rewards give holders a reason to stay
The fact that some bigger names are still holding gives me another signal worth tracking
But volume will ultimately decide whether the market has a reason to come back
7. My entry plan
I’m going to take a small position around the current range and watch how it develops first
After a correction of more than 70% from ATH, I think this area is much easier to play than chasing higher, but I still don’t see a reason to size heavily yet
If the chart continues correcting, the $2M to $3M market cap range is where I’ll be watching to potentially add more, as long as the narrative is still alive, volume hasn’t completely died, and the community remains active
There’s no reason for me to rush a meme like this
Small position first, keep some capital ready in case the market gives us a deeper dip
