The UAE, represented by FCSC, participated in the Meeting of the Heads of National Statistics Offices of BRICS Countries, hosted by India. The UAE highlighted its national transformation of official statistics, focused on strengthening statistical governance.

During the Security Council’s open debate on the Palestinian question, HE Ghasaq Shaheen, Chargé d’Affaires and Deputy Permanent Representative, stressed the importance of the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 2803, including consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza, reopening all crossings to ensure the sustained and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance, and advancing early recovery efforts. The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, while continuing its efforts to advance the two-State solution. The UAE also reiterated its condemnation of settlement activities in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as well as the dangerous escalation in settler violence.
