Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh @MBA_AlThani_ met newly appointed #UK Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband in #Doha on Friday. The meeting, held during Miliband’s official visit to #Qatar, focused on bilateral ties and efforts to ease regional tensions.
Sheikh Mohammed also congratulated Miliband on his recent appointment. The Qatari prime minister called on all parties to pursue dialogue and diplomacy and to uphold the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, including commitments to ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. He also reiterated Qatar’s support for efforts to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that leads to lasting peace and stability in the region.
