We are committed to working in partnership to help countries strengthen their own education systems. The $97bn global financing gap for education means we need to unlock innovative finance and maximise impact. We are leveraging £7 for every £1 we put in to @IFF_Education #UNGA80

Engaging young people leads to more effective solutions. This week we celebrate the achievements of the FCDO’s inaugural Youth Education Council, a group of young people who have helped to shape @FCDOEducation international education policy for the past 18 months.
Education is a right, not a privilege. On the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, the UK reaffirms its commitment to ensuring schools are safe havens for learning, not targets of conflict. #EducationUnderAttack #ProtectEducation

Last week we released the third annual report on the G7- endorsed Global Objectives, focused on education in emergencies and protracted crises.

The 🇬🇧 is pleased to join @IDA_CRPD_Forum and @UNICEF in launching a new Leadership Council for disability inclusive education at #COSP. We remain steadfast in our leadership and collective action to ensure children with disabilities are not left behind.
People with disabilities are disproportionately affected by conflict, and the climate and nature crisis.
That's why Minister for Equalities @SeemaMalhotra1 reaffirmed the UK's commitment to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the @UN #COSP18.
