Friend yesterday: "Could you build Excel in WeWeb?"
Me: "Hold on, let me grab my phone."
Well 🙂
One prompt + Claude Opus later:
Here is my workflow when I want to improve a coded component in @weweb_io
I wanted to create a floating comment input on my Rich text editor. I went through this process:
First I needed to understand how the toolbar visibility was controlled. It allowed me to implement my feature the best way. I've used Claude Code to help me in those steps.
Then, to mock it up, I used WeWeb MCP along with a simple screenshot of Claude UI to recreate the design on my page.

Today, @weweb_io launched on @ProductHunt... the same day as Google Antigravity.
David vs Goliath.
And right now, we're on the podium with Google, only 9 upvotes behind them.

Huge day for us! 🎉 I am so incredibly proud of the team for putting all of this together.
The new version is officially live. I can't wait to see what you all build!
Big day today, @weweb_io is live on Product Hunt!
We built advanced AI capabilities into a powerful no-code web app builder. The result? The best tool for non-technical users to build their apps.
Check out the launch below. We’d love to get your support ❤️
And yes, there’s a special launch offer for the PH community: 20% off any plan 🤗

Most AI-generated backends are a black box. You can't always access the database. Permissions and access controls are often opaque. And when something breaks, good luck.
WeWeb Tables is different.
Use AI to generate your entire backend: tables, relationships, mock data, business logic. Then see exactly what was built. Edit it. Extend it. Own it.
Here's what you get:
🌍 Your data, your region: US, Europe, or Asia
📊 Visual schema builder: fields, types, relationships
👁️ Dynamic views: filtered, sorted, and access-controlled
⚡ Template API endpoints: ready to use, easy to customize visually. No SQL required.
Try it out and let us know what you think 👇
So proud of the whole team for this massive milestone 👏. A new era for iteration begins today! I can't wait to see the amazing things you'll build.

What a year for @weweb_io!
In a market where everything is getting tangled and redefined by AI, where every time you open X or LinkedIn, someone is declaring the “end of no-code” or the “end of developers”, we carefully watched the data, and the data didn’t lie: our user growth has been skyrocketing consistently since February 2025.
Most of our users found us by searching for no-code solutions or AI solutions for non-coders on Google or ChatGPT (yes, "no-code" is alive!).
So, as the year went on, we doubled down on what makes our product outstanding for non-coders, helping them build faster without sacrificing control.
We shipped major product updates:
* An AI that generates outputs fully editable in our no-code editor.
* A custom @figma import plugin.
* New and improved elements like breadcrumbs, calendar, AI chat, and datagrid.
* A brand-new pop-up system.
* Better icon management.
As we move into 2026, our focus will be on enabling end-to-end frontend & backend development in WeWeb, and building a completely new version of our AI architecture: more precise, stable, and context-aware.
I’m incredibly proud of the team and grateful for all the new users who joined us this year.
The direction you want us to follow is clear and we will continue to work hard in 2026 to make the dream of an AI-powered visual IDE (aka AI + no-code) come true!
Wishing you all a fantastic end to the year. Looking forward to building great things together in 2026! 🚀

Meet @reavaen, a passionate builder from Manado, Indonesia. 🇮🇩
He spent 8+ years in the hospitality industry, moving from graphic design to leading marketing teams in Bali.
Then the pandemic hit and everything paused.
But... Rivan didn’t:
📦 He pivoted from designing UIs to developing apps
🧰 Taught himself visual development using Webflow, Figma, and Airtable
📚 Learned from YouTubers like @jptrinhh, @_docwilliams, and the WeWeb channel
🚀 Built a portal for the Indonesian govt. from scratch using WeWeb + Supabase
Today, Rivan is part of the WeWeb team, guiding others through their building journeys as a Customer Care Engineer.
📣 We’re thrilled to have Rivan on the team:

We had incredible conversations with many of our non-coder users about how they leverage AI and the challenges they face. If this topic resonates with you, you’ll likely enjoy this article where we’ve distilled all our key insights. Enjoy!
AI is accelerating app development and the LLMs are becoming smarter.
But, AI-programming is not without limitations:
1/ Customization and granular control
2/ Hallucinations in AI-generated outputs
3/ Inconsistent designs
4/ Lack of context awareness
5/ What changes were made and why
6/ The mysterious art of prompting
7/ Data privacy and security
Let's dive deeper into these limitations and explore potential solutions to unlock the full power of AI in app development:
