Happy to finally share our new report "Limits to Plastic Growth: Towards a global cap on primary plastics production". portal.research.lu.se/en/pub…
We hope this can inspire and support further discussions about how primary plastics production can be reduced to align with global targets for a stable climate and healthy ecosystems
The report is the outcome of a great collaboration with @JPTilsted @KarlHolmberg91 @stripple and Tara Olsen, colleagues at @lunduniversity

OPEC's leaked goal to “proactively reject any [#COP28 ] text that targets fossil fuels, rather than emissions” is, I think, the 1st *explicit* admission of Big Oil's strategy to shift climate responsibility from supply/fossil fuels to demand/emissions. 1/n theguardian.com/environment/…
Thrilled to announce that we are organising a conference next year! Petrochemicals and Climate Change: Technology, Policy, and Societal Change in a Time of Planetary Crises aims to gather a diverse group of experts for interdisciplinary discussions in Cambridge, 1-3 July 2024.
Especially we are looking to gather early career researchers and other young professionals at this event, providing generous travel scholarships to enable participation for professionals from CSOs and Global South.
